Very nice looking and well made kettle
Our old kettle broke so this is the replacement and I really like it. For £20 it's as good as any kettle I've owned. I really like that it is made out of metal and the black slightly mirror-like finish is really nice. It boils quickly being a 3000 watt kettle. I actually think this is the quietest kettle I have ever owned. Much less of an annoyance compared to my old one. It pours well to boot! Only slightly negative is when holding to fill up you can't see the water level gauge, but, you can see inside so I know that up to the beginning of the filter is max capacity so not a huge issue for me personally. Recommended kettle.

A quality electric kettle at a good price
Fed up with cheaply made rubbish from China? My last couple of kettles were Russell Hobbs and the most recent of those I had to return as it failed to boil before shutting off, so I purchased this Morphy Richards one to replace it. It is nicely made, is relatively quiet and quick too. It's good value for money and I would recommend it. The only slight downside is the level gauge being part of the handle which I find a little difficult to see when filling but if you just fill to where you would naturally looking in the top you'll be spot-on anyway.

Quick boil, little plastic contacts the water, a little noisy, plasticky aroma for first few weeks
I'm generally pleased with this kettle. We were looking for one that minimises internal plastic following widespread reports of microplastic contamination of water by plastic kettles. The price was good, it looks quite nice, the lid opens easily (no telling how durable the lid mechanism is yet), and there is little (but not no) contact between the water you're boiling and plastic parts. The water filter in the spout is plastic. The water gauge is plastic, but they claim the bulk of the water isn't sloshing around next to that. But the bulk of the inner kettle surface is metal. So, what was not so great? This kettle had a very strong plasticky/chemically smell when boiled. It sort of smelt like hot plastic parts out-gassing, but I'm not really sure exactly what it was. I assumed this smell would pass after a few boils but it was actually quite strong for two or more weeks of regular domestic use (half a dozen or more boils per day?), and for the next couple of weeks I only got the occasional whiff. It is a little loud when boiling – I suspect this is because it is metal and the metal walls are not as sound-insulating as a plastic kettle, and they may reverberate a bit more and amplify the sound. And they say it has an "easy view water level", but you know, it really isn't. It's right behind the handle, so unless the kettle is positioned just right it's either blocked by the handle or by your hand, or the angle is too great to read it clearly. And it's a slightly frosted/milky coloured tube that fills with transparent water and is marked with thin white lines, so it's really not particularly easy to read at all. You can read it, but it's not very clear, particularly in low light beneath a kitchen cupboard. But overall I'm pleased with this kettle – a super quick 3kW boil, and hopefully fewer microparticles of plastic ingested (three million fewer per cup of tea, according to reports!).

Excellent kettle
I love this kettle which was bought as a replacement for a Russell Hobbs kettle (I always thought RH were the king of kettles) which wasn't old but didn't pour well and always leaked water all over the work top when pouring. This kettle looks good and pours well no leaking. It is a lovely colour too - I am really pleased with it. Also it is cheaper on Amazon than on the Morphy Richards website so I got a bargain. I would definitely recommend it.

Metal interior
Bought this kettle simply because it was one of the rare ones with a metal interior. I didn't want to spend a silly amount on a kettle and flashing lights and temperature controls really aren't important, so this fitted the bill nicely. It's compact and looks good in the kitchen. It has a good enough capacity for several cups. Boils quickly and doesn't seem particularly noisey. For the price, and the metal interior it's ideal.

Good quality at a fair price
We have used this for several months and have no complaints. It looks smart and does the job. Others have complained that it's noisy. We don't think it's any noisier than the average electric kettle. Boiling water makes a noise -- get over it.

Classy & Fast
This red & silver kettle looks really smart & classy, and brings water to the boil quickly. However, I find it quite noisy (as were my previous few kettles; whatever happened to quieter models?). It pours well & safely. It's worth noting that, if you live in an area with limescale, that the shiny spout & body can become flecked with small smears of scale, though these are easily wiped off. We've had this a couple of months now, tea & coffee taste fine (no bitterness), so we're happy enough with it. It certainly looks good...

Pleased with the purchase
A good kettle and certainly for the price. Our previous kettle that we'd had for many years tended to spew water all over the place but this one pours really well. It brings water to the boil pretty quickly and we have absolutely no complaints about it at all. A great colour too!

Prise anglaise non adaptée pour la France
Prise non adaptée aux normes françaises, ce qui n’est pas précisé sur la description. Conséquence : utilisation impossible en France sans adaptateur... Très déçue

Great little jug
Is a great kettle and is very quick to boil. The only down side is if your buying it from Australia it doesn't have the correct electric plug for the outlet. Easily fixed though with an adapter from Bunnings.
