These are your standard spiral coils. Easy to use if you have the machine to punch the proper holes in your paper.

A few years ago, I splurged and purchased a coil binding machine, and I got probably three sizes of (fairly small to medium-sized) coils to go with it. I went a little crazy, printing up all kinds of things and binding them. I eventually got a larger box of the coils (around 20mm) but found myself at least occasionally needing to split things up because that wasn't quite big enough.These coils are fabulous. I haven't tried 220 sheets in it, as I don't have anything quite that big right now. But I also don't like pushing it quite that close to the stated limits. Almost everything I bind, I put cardstock covers onto, front and back, so the most I'd want to do with these coils is maybe 210 sheets.I mostly have used these for printing/binding workbooks for my kids (we homeschool), or doing up schedule books for me. We have quite a bit of curriculum where we get a huge pdf file that the kids need. We find it so much easier to work with when we print and spiral bind. The pages lay flat, you can leave it open to whichever page, writing is easy. And now, I don't have to do crazy stuff like split a workbook in half.These are floppier than the smaller sizes if you are just playing with the coils themselves, but they go into the punched pages just as readily, and once there an appropriate amount of pages in the coil, they feel sturdy and solid.I do have a crimping pliers, and that does a great job of bending the edges, so the pages stay put.So thrilled with these!

These have a little bit of shine to them but are basically a matte finish compared to other coils we have. And they're more of a charcoal grey compared to the others we have, which are black. My wife noticed both of these things before I did; I don't think the difference is that noticeable but she'd prefer them to be shiny black.These feel so floppy when you take one out of the box, I wondered how it was going to create any kind of a stable book, but once you have the paper in them they are great.The length works great for 11" paper and trimming and crimping where you want.My wife is very happy with the quality, and glad to have something now to use with the larger projects she wants to print out for both herself and the kids.We used to use comb binding but like the spirals much better for being able to manipulate the pages: you can open the book on a table and have the pages lay flat, or fold the front pages all the way behind the back pages so you can set a book on your lap for easy note taking.They work perfectly with the binder we got a few years ago; we're very happy with these spiral coils.

I really like to be able to fold my textbooks in half, and not have to hold them open when I'm reading. These coils are big enough to allow me to do that.

These are really great binding coils and perfect for yourself notebooks or books. With the size of these, the chart provided on the listing says that it should hold about 250 pages which I completely believe given the size of the rings so definitely for you some larger projects. Really perfect if you need to bind larger quantities

I print and create my own crafting books. I use these types of spiral binding to put them together with my spiral binding machine. I was worried these ones would not work with my binding machine, however they worked with it perfectly (check your space size). This is a good size box that will last me a few months for sure!

These are high quality coils from my favorite supplier (MyBinding). They are smooth to twist on and work perfect. This size is great for doing larger books / manuals. You will obviously need a spiral binding machine and the tool to snip and twist the ends to complete the book, but these coils are great and have a nice matte finish appearance, love them!
