Bavaria Holland Original Malt Beverage " Non Alcoholic " Drink - Pack of 6 Glass Bottles 330ML

I bought a 6 pack at a local store ($10), and was hoping it would taste like other malted slavic beverages such as Gira -- which is a Lithuanian malted non-alcoholic drink that is sweet (but not as sweet as regular sodas -- It is fermented from bread.) Bavaria Holland Malt beverage is very different in taste, however. It is not sweet, but might be compared to a sweet beer. That is, it does not taste "hoppy" or sharp. But, it also does not taste like beer. It is difficult to describe the taste, but the best I can do is: tastes slightly like a very light beer, slightly sweet - But nobody would describe it as sweet- slightly carbonated, surprisingly refreshing and thirst-quenching. At first I was very disappointed, because it did not taste at all like gira. But, I gave it another try, and was surprised how thirst-quenching it was.So, bottom line: this drink is a very thirst-quenching drink. I normally would not describe any drink (beer, cider, etc.) as "thirst-quenching". I don't understand why it is so thirst-quenching. But, it is definitely worth a try. I was surprised, myself. The price on Amazon, however, is a bit high.
