Yup! That’s what I did! I did one on each side, it was beautiful to open up.

Q: Will it fit on a 75gal tank ?

Only designed for a 55 gallon tank.

Q: Will this work with a canister filter with the hoses being on the back of the tank?

I have three aquaclear hob filters. I'm 100% sure there is enough clearance for the hoses on the back.
