Shiny type of material.
The item itself is well made, however when I ordered it I was expecting a more of cloth type of turag problem I find with this shiny type they tend to slide up .

Bandana review
Yep works well keep helmet away from sweat which is why I bought it . I have a shaved head so no hair to soak up sweat, but my girlfriend also uses something similar to keep her helmet clean . They are thin so don't affect size and double up as sun protection if I forget a hat .
