NATIONAL BESTSELLER • An up-close portrait of the mind of an addict and a life unraveled by narcotics—a memoir of captivating urgency and surprising humor that puts a human face on the opioid crisis. Tiffany’s story continues in the New York Times bestseller A Clean Mess , available now! “Raw, brutal, and shocking. Move over, Orange Is the New Black. ”—Amy Dresner, author of My Fair Junkie When word got out that Tiffany Jenkins was withdrawing from opiates on the floor of a jail cell, people in her town were shocked. Not because of the twenty felonies she’d committed, or the nature of her crimes, or even that she’d been captain of the high school cheerleading squad just a few years earlier, but because her boyfriend was a Deputy Sherriff, and his friends—their friends—were the ones who’d arrested her. A raw and twisty page-turning memoir that reads like fiction, High Achiever spans Tiffany’s life as an active opioid addict, her 120 days in a Florida jail where every officer despised what she’d done to their brother in blue, and her eventual recovery. With heart-racing urgency and unflinching honesty, Jenkins takes you inside the grips of addiction and the desperate decisions it breeds. She is a born storyteller who lived an incredible story, from blackmail by an ex-boyfriend to a soul-shattering deal with a drug dealer, and her telling brims with suspense and unexpected wit. But the true surprise is her path to recovery. Tiffany breaks through the stigma and silence to offer hope and inspiration to anyone battling the disease—whether it’s a loved one or themselves. Review: Worth 20 stars - Tiffany's raw honesty with her personality and humor makes this the best book I've read for a long time, and I've read A LOT of books. I teared up multiple times, along with out loud wtf's! This is that book you don't want to put down and stay up way past bedtime to read knowing you've got an early work alarm. In recovery myself I know the importance of keeping it real, open and honest and this book went above and beyond courageous. I've got several other kindle books to read but only one I care to read us her next book. Lol Review: High Achiever is a must-read for anyone who values real, raw, and redemptive storytelling. - High Achiever: The Incredible True Story of One Addict’s Double Life by Tiffany Jenkins. I've been a longtime follower of Tiffany Jenkins through her hilarious and heartfelt social media presence on Juggling the Jenkins. After years of enjoying her honest and often hilarious content, I finally decided to dive into her first book—and I’m so glad I did. High Achiever is a gripping, honest account of Tiffany’s battle with addiction, the double life she led, and her eventual road to recovery. I’d seen glimpses of her past in her videos and posts, but this book lays it all out with unflinching honesty. It tells the story of how, just after finishing rehab, spiraled back into addiction all while living with her boyfriend—who was, incredibly, a sheriff’s deputy. She recounts the crimes she committed to fuel her addiction: stealing from her partner, pawning his possessions, even selling his firearms to a dealer. Her eventual arrest—by officers she personally knew—was as devastating as it was life-changing. Tiffany spent 120 days in jail and was then transferred to rehab, where she committed fully to turning her life around. The journey she shares is raw and emotional, with some slightly comedic undertones. Her vulnerability and resilience shine through with every chapter, and you can truly feel her transformation as you read. What makes this book even more powerful is how much of Tiffany’s personality comes through. I could imagine her awkward interactions and the unique way she narrates even the most difficult experiences. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and that’s what makes her story so impactful—not just for people in recovery, but for anyone who’s faced hardship or self-doubt. I still remember the first video I saw of Tiffany—her struggling through a workout with self-deprecating humor—and I instantly thought, This woman is my spirit animal. Her content has always felt authentic, and this book is no different. With her second book on the horizon (which I’ve already preordered 😊), I’m eager to see what she shares next—especially as she’s hinted at the major life changes she’s experienced since 2020, to which we got a small glimpse in real-time through social media. Watching her continue to grow, prioritize her physical and emotional health, and inspire others makes me even more of a fan. One day, I hope to attend one of her live events! Rating: 5 stars. Tiffany Jenkins is a force, and High Achiever is a must-read for anyone who values real, raw, and redemptive storytelling.

Love
I would HIGHLY recommend for someone who is the loved one of an addict , to kind of see and have understanding for how twisted and warped our mind and way of thinking is throughout active addiction -& therefore our actions..... Not so you can enable us and feel sorry for us, but so you can be even better equipped to deal with the situations and things brought by the addict, I do think it could be helpful in that way. We aren’t terrible awful human beings ... but we are sick, very sick. Also, if you’re the loved one of an addict & lost at what to do - please make an open AA/NA meeting or Al-anon, this is extremely important. If you are lost at what to do or need peace in your life - as you deserve- make those meetings. So ... I haven’t finished this book yet but , I love it. I am in recovery myself and one thing I will say, if you are an addict , and depending where you are in your recovery or on your journey, some of the detailed parts when she shoots up , I could see how that could possibly be a trigger for some. I mean, I have some time in the program now & sober and I am so far away from that lifestyle & then using at this point but still, just the details parts of getting a drug ready and the moment it’s in your body, those parts can make your skin a little itchy. But it didn’t make me want to go out and use and following the description of those few moments in the book you’re reminded of the aftermath, the awfulness and destruction. But, I think it’s important to at least mention here because addiction IS cunning, baffling, and powerful. So anyways! I really love this book. It is written really well. Throughout it though I kind of wonder how in the hell she remembered some of or most of these conversations and interactions and situations.... My mind couldn’t remember or grasp much for quite some time after putting the surf & drink down so how she was able to put this book together all she went through in such detail , I mean I don’t think she is lying lol, I just don’t know how! I am probably half way or more through the book. It is an easy read and people who read and make time for it could finish it in a couple days. She is an incredible woman. And this book shows another story to give hope. Those rock bottom moments where we want to die, how we never think we could have a life out of that rock bottom and this is it for us ..... well, it is not. There is ALWAYS more. No matter what your rock bottom was or is, there is another life. NONE of us are hopeless or useless here. I was once the hopeless one. I knew it & everyone else knew it, too. I was talked about, shamed, & looked down upon... & a friend “randomly” dragged me into a meeting one day, he said just come w/me n check it out. I was wasted high & drunk, but I went every single day & 2yrs in I started to clean up -& the friend who took me is no longer around. Meeting makers make it. It might take awhile but as I was told, don’t leave before the miracle happens. I was drinking doing pills & all drugs & shooting up before & after meetings, all day every day, there were a few ppl that rolled their eyes at me & “KNEW” I wouldn’t be there long but, 98% of them didn’t care that I was a sloppy mess, I was there for a reason & bc clearly I needed the help & I had no clue how to NOT use, that was literally all I knew.... & ALL of those ppl are my family today. 8 years ago I walked into my 1st meeting. My life is completely different today. If you’re struggling w/addiction, start getting to meetings. If you’re the loved one, find open meetings or al-anon/na-anon. There is HOPE. — & I purchased this on kindle.

Enjoyable but didnt blow me away
I am a mental health professional that works with a substance abuse population. I have recently started to try and read some books that may give me a new perspective on addiction (since i work with addiction every day but have never had my own battle with it). I felt that this book was a good story. However, I didnt think the writing was great. I honestly have just picked up the hobby of reading for pleasure...so its not like i know a lot about great writing. For example, she uses "so quiet you could hear a pin drop" at least four different times in this book (maybe even 5 times this was used to describe a room or certain situation). I think that for this to be a true story, it is incredible. I would recommend it to my female patients to read for pleasure. It should be OK for the male reader, but i think it would be more identifiable for females. I would not recommend this book for a snooty reader who needs great writing. i probably would not recommend this book to someone who had absolutely no connect with addiction. I would worry that someone who is new in their recovery reading this book may be a trigger. It may romanticize the feeling of drugs. Maybe for a female that is feeling secure in her recovery journey. Over all, i did feel it gave me some new insight on what the mind of an addict is like and how withdrawal plays a big role.

Resonating, no matter where you are in your Journey.
There are times when curiosity gets the better of me. This was one such time. When sending Tiffany an email stating something to the effect of “you my dear, are my people,” I saw an ad pop up for her book. I knew she had written this book, but I never thought to read it. Not because I wasn’t interested in her story, but because I enjoy her blog, and I am a busy mama of 3 myself, so I don’t often have time to read books. When I say it gets the best of me, curiosity, Well, I finished her book at 3 am this morning after spending the whole day with it pulled up on my iPhone. 🙈 Tiffany is a relatable human being. Even if you have not walked some of the places she has in your own personal journey, you have, at one point or another, felt the emotions she describes. She draws you in and sits you on her bunk right next to her, she brings you to rehab with her, she makes you gasp, and though you already ‘know’ the result of the predicament she’s gotten herself into, she sits you on the edge of your chair literally PRAYING out loud for her. She makes you feel. And she makes you think. She makes you relate. I rated this book as highly as it would allow me, but I honestly don’t think it’s necessary. This story is one that needs telling, no matter how eloquently done. It’s one that should be sitting on the bunk of every jail cell, of every prison cell, given to everyone who enters the doors of a rehab or detox center. It’s one counselors should be using to model how the deal with and confront their patients, and one every person in the world needs to hear. Addiction is a mother of a beast, most people don’t understand. Doctors who treat it don’t even have a firm grasp on what it does to a human mentally, emotionally and physically. They don’t understand that the feeling of withdrawal would make the most kind and loving person contemplating killing their own mother. It makes you leave your soul sitting somewhere, and takes your mind captive. It tightens it’s grips and doesn’t, let, go. Tiffany paints a picture that throws you into the haunting world of having who you are become less real, and shows you what happens when who you are, becomes an addict. Bravo Tiff. A million times. Thank you for your honesty, your courage and your candid realism. And congratulations of beating the beast.

**WARNING** Addictive Author Ahead!!!
In the six straight hours that this book held my unwavering attention, I became an addict; the urge and craving to read more from Tiffany Jenkins is almost unbearable. Tiffany Jenkins is by far the most powerful writer I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and I am an avid reader. This book is REAL. In the six hours from the time I opened this book until the time I read the last word, I laughed, I cried, I became angry, I felt disgust, I experienced hormonal fluctuations (yep, I am keeping it clean), I felt empathy and sympathy, I cheered for and against Tiffany, and by the end, I was left in absolute awe over the brilliance of this book. Tiffany is painfully honest about what she went through to become the awesome person she is today, and her story is skillfully told so that the book is a page-turner. Simply put, this is a beautifully written story of love, heartbreak, addiction, betrayal, friendship, and recovery, all while lending a view to the ugly the insides of our penal and legal systems, wrapped up in a beautifully written mystery/thriller/romance novel. I have never read a 369 page book in one sitting, but I did today. I will not go into detail about the book itself, because I cannot do Tiffany justice because I could never tell her story better than her. I do not care what type book you prefer to read, I assure you this one will not leave you disappointed. I read almost every genre of book, and have read hundreds. This one wins by a landslide!! Go ahead and click that "Buy Now" button, and while you are at it, buy a few more copies for friends and loved ones to save yourself the trouble of having to come back and do it later. I'm going to go try to find my kids now as that movie I put in six hours ago is probably over by now. ;-)

Compelling read (contains adult content not suitable for Teens), I LOVED it!!
An amazing book! Compelling, emotional, gritty, funny. Tiffany's book took me on a journey of heartache and compassion. The true story of her life with addiction which lead to imprisonment, and ultimately survival is compelling and amazing. Her writing style is such that you travel the journey with her, feeling all the emotion that she puts in to writing this book about her own life. It is an insight into the struggles that addicts have and even having no person experience of this myself, I still felt every step of her journey. I LOVED this book and would highly recommend it. You may also want to note that it is an adult read, Tiffany does not hold back on the language or content which is completely in context but perhaps not suitable for a Teen to read. Be prepared to laugh and cry with Tiffany as she takes you on her journey.

De mis libros favoritos.
Relato muy duro pero realista de cómo una enfermedad como la drogadicción arrasa no solo con el enfermo sino también con aquellos que están cerca. De mis libros favoritos.

Beautiful recovery journey story
I've been following Tiffany for years now and knew parts of her story from some of her videos, but this was such an in depth journey to take reading this. As a recovering addict myself of 4 years, having had 10 years of active addiction myself, I felt all the emotions raw like I was right there with her, because I had felt all of those emotions at some point myself. I read this in 2 days because I found I couldn't put the book down. I would recommend anyone still in active addiction, in any stage of recovery, or anyone who loves an addict to read this book. Honestly , even if your life hasn't been touched by addiction, you should still read it, because it really gives an inside view of how much hold it has on a person , but also how much difference can be made by having the right person/ people with a kind caring open heart can make to another life that is so lost and in despair. Great job Tiff ! I loved every bit of this and hope you write more. I'd love to read a book about your life leading up to this book, and another about after, even tho i know alot of what you post online , but you write so well i feel like I know you personally. You are a wonderful person and you bring a smile to my face with everything you do, thank you for letting us in to such a sensitive time in your life. We do recover. One day at a time . 💕 Signed: Canadian momma of 5, recovering addict , Sarah o' brien
