Got this for my mother's day gift, its perfect. The chain is a bit dainty so i changed it to a thicker chain. The charm itself is amazing, working glass enclosed compass. Well made and can be personalized. Mine reads "Get your ass home now". I love it

Nice heft and solid clasp. Helps me keep true literally and figuratively. Two cons: 1. The metal housing of the compass (the compass is an obvious insert) will corrode due to ambient humidity. I've never submerged it, but it's right tropical by me and I'm a sweater. Just a bit of the compass sticks out above the locket bed; hardly noticeable, but worth mentioning. 2. Also, the flutes on the side make the locket a little tougher to clean, but nothing a cotton swab can't handle. Worth the price. I really like it and don't regret buying it for myself at all.

My 23 yo daughter loves it. Had it inscribed too. It’s not too big but has weight to it. The compass looks to be the real McCoy not the junk you’d see in an auto parts store or something. It takes a bit to get it open but I think that’s by design

I purchased this as a gift for graduation.... nice locket. I was very impressed that they fit the engraving I wanted on the back even though the order form was not allowing me to make a space between words. I am sure my niece will love this for years to come, it is not the most dainty necklace but it is “ true north” and is a working compass!

Bought this for my Niece for her High School graduation. It is so beautiful. The engraving was done and it looks wonderful. I recommend this as a gift.

The locket is pretty on the outside. However I have no clue what the inside looks like because it will not open. Quite a disappointment… I’ve read another similar review and the option was to send back to have fixed. Personally if it was company’s mistake they should just resend another locket with a return label to send the one that won’t open back, not the other way around. It should be made easier for the buyer not the seller.

I originally purchased this necklace in 2015 and wore it nearly every day for five years. It went everywhere with me! The gym, the ocean, hiking trails, ect. I’m not a coordinated or graceful creature and it took countless falls and tumbles. Very durable! This necklace never lost its clasp strength or shine and was always true north. Sadly I lost it while moving homes and had to repurchase. When I received my second necklace I had some issues with the compass needle and contacted customer support. Their service was PHENOMENAL! They responded to me within minutes and shipped me out a new necklace that very day. Engraving and all! My package arrived two days later and everything looks and functions perfectly! A great gift for that adventurous loved one! I will be buying another for my youngest sister who is graduating high school and will now be starting her own journey into adulthood!
