Perfect for learning music
This was an amazing purchase. No it doesn’t sound like an actual piano, but my son is 2 I could care less. It’s a solid piano for a toddler, I love watching him trying to figure it out lol. Great toy to get your kiddo into music! Perfect size fits anywhere and got an amazing deal.

Great toy piano
Bought it as an xmas present for my 21 month old, she loves it. More like a real piano than most toys. Similar to a toy I had >30 years ago in USSR. I enjoy playing with it too. Bought for $30

Simple, sturdy toy for kids that love noise.
I gave this as a gift to my friend’s 1-year old son for Christmas. It’s small enough to be moved anywhere. It comes with the keys labeled and includes a simple songbook. He loved it. When it gets to be too much they just put it up for a bit. Looks and plays like a mini-piano. Very sturdy, too.

Cute piano. May not ship well, but fixable
I bought this for my son fir Christmas. I didn't open the package right away (easier to hide presents while in the boxes). I opened it Christmas Eve and noticed a few keys smashed in and they didn't work. I was super bummed, but determined to give it to him for Christmas. I tried finding directions on fixing it/tuning it and found a YouTube video. I don't believe it is SUPPOSED to be opened but I had to try and once I opened it up I was happy to see it was absolutely fixable! The bottom board came out of place during delivery, so I moved it back in place and it worked! Some of the keys don't sound the best, and I honestly am not sure if it's because it's a kids piano or maybe because it came broken, or my attempt to fix it, etc. But it plays well enough and decent for a kids piano. I love that it comes with a song book. I have no music talent and can play the songs for my son and am looking forward to him actually following along with one of those songs as well. He likes it, and it was a nice step up from his baby toy piano so I am content with it.

A worthwhile toy investment
My little musically-inclined 2 yr old grandson just loves this. He runs to play it every time he’s inspired by a song he hears. It has a tinny sound, so you can’t expect a realistic piano sound, but it honestly sounds like what I would expect from a toy piano. He has banged on it very hard, but it is still holding up just fine.

Waste of money & a huge disappointment
If I could give this 0 stars I absolutely would! Firstly, I ordered blue and received pink which wouldn’t be that big of a deal if that was the only issue but It is annoying considering this was bought for a little boy. Secondly the keyboard does not function properly, to get the keys to make sound you have to use unnecessary force and sometimes have to press the same key multiple times for it to work. To top it off the actual sound it makes is horrible, sounds like something you could buy from the dollar tree. I will say it is very sturdy, heavy and the paint is beautiful but absolutely not worth the money, unless of course you just want to look at it. This was a huge disappointment for us.

Meh
Some of the keys stick and take a little longer to reset before you can play them again. Has a clangy sound to it like those toy xylophones. Looks nice though, but quality of the keys/sound wasn't as good as I expected based on the looks & price. The strip denoting the keys with A, B, C, etc. Immediately came off as it was very loose (only was stuck to the piano at each end and daughter quickly pulled at the loose strip). My daughter has played with it some and seems to enjoy banging on the keys (not ready yet to read the notes). Got on sale, definitely would not have paid full price. Generally I like Melissa & Doug products, but I think they could have done better with this one.
O**.
gotta shout out the added sitting training this does
It's preassembled and robust. The keys sounds janky but still pretty good. So far it's holding up and one added bonus I didn't think of but my baby mastered sitting up because of this. It really was a good buy and she loves playing it for a good while

A solid and attractive "first" piano
We wanted to buy our three year old grandson a piano as he shows an interest in music. We did not want to buy a gimmicky electric keyboard, but rather a piano that generates a mechanical sound related to how hard he presses the keys, etc. This little piano fits the bill. The only other possible one we saw was from Germany but it only had one octave and a half, whereas this one has two full octaves. It has a klinky mechanical sound which is to be expected, but is not irritatingly so. Very sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing. It is a big hit. Just what we were looking for.

My son is in love
My 2 year old has been obsessed with classical music played specifically on piano, and for his birthday we got him this. While it is clearly not to the same sound as a traditional piano, especially given the price point, it’s pretty darn good. He loves playing it, and every morning he wakes up he runs straight to it. Quality is pretty good, and easy to wipe clean.
