The original 1000 mile boot is recreated from an archival Wolverine pattern and is America's original work boot. Designed in Rockford, Michigan and handcrafted in the USA, each pair is made with meticulous attention to detail and built to last. Time-tested Goodyear welt construction allows the boots to be resoled for years of wear, and durable horween leather from Chicago gains character over time.

Counterfeit Wolverine 1000 mile boots. Do not buy!
Counterfeit shoes! Wasn’t sure what size would work for me and I purchased Wolverine 1000 mike boots from this seller and another in different sizes. The other seller sent authentic Wolverine boots and the differences are ridiculous. Starting from the plain box, build quality of the boots, the fit, and to top it off the boots I received didn’t even match the picture from the ad.

Great!
Owned 5 years as of 10/02/2019. I've had them resoled 3 times, currently with a lug sole toppy. They are definitely showing their age at this point, leather is beginning to crack and starting to get some serious cracks where it creases. I see then going strong for another year, two tops. Overall a worthwhile investment, wear these boots nearly daily from October to May each year in hatsh NYC weather (salt, dirty hot dog water, nasty snow, you name it). I've been meticulous at keeping them on shoe trees at home and conditioning every once in a while (although 1 suggested conditioner cause the leather to crack severely).

1000 Miles of Looking Sharp!
Let me frame this review before I get into it. IMHO, these boots are for kicking around town or at work (most likely a casual office job). These are not hardcore hiking boots or work/construction boots. Can they do those things? Sure, but there are far better boots out there for those applications. I use these boots for going out, work (mostly desk work), and in situations that call for casual to slightly dressy events.PROS- Great Looks - which is probably the main reason most buy them (speculation of course).- Longevity - If you take care of them, they will last you years.- Recraftable - They can be resoled for a fraction of the cost a new boot and they will be already broken in.- Minimal Break In - For a quality leather boot, they will be fairly comfortable out of the box. Especially if you compare them to a boot like the Red Wing Heritage Line.- Comfortable - Once broken in, they mold to your feet. Very secure and pleasant.CONS- Slippery in Inclement Weather - my biggest gripe is these boots slid all over the place in slippery/snowy/icey conditions. The sole is a flat stacked leather with zero tread. You could add half soles with lugs if you prefer, but this is one of the main reasons these are NOT adventure/work boots. You just need to be mindful when walking.- Hard to Figure Out Size - Definitely try on before you buy. I wear size 11D in trainers/sneaker but I wear 10D(M) in Wolverine 1000 Mile.

It seemed too good to be true, but it was true!
When I saw Wolverine 1000 Mile boots in my size at a price that didn't seem possible, I suspected the worst. I figured they must be factory seconds, used, or even counterfeit. But at the price I thought it was worth taking a chance. I'm glad I did. These boots are brand new, authentic, and perfect in every respect. Kudos to Midas Marketplace for delivering a perfect pair of boots at an unbelievable price!

When received, fit and finish were off, married ...
When received, fit and finish were off, married pieces that should have been flush were misaligned, and after wearing them for an hour the leather began to split along the stitching of the right heel. I contacted wolverine, sent them photos (one of which I attached). They said that Brands USA is not an authorized seller (in fact, there isn't a seller on Amazon that is, apparently) and that they would do nothing to stand behind their product. I always wondered why I saw so many of their boots in thrift shops, broken in but superficially never close to worn out.

True Quality Control is gone. Folks just keep sending sub-par products.
I am so sick and tired of poor quality control from almost everywhere you buy things. What happened to quality? What happened to giving a damn about what you're selling or sending customers? Can i once order a product and for it to be in just ok condition? Doesn't have to be perfect. That's all im asking, is an ok condition. So the insoles of the boots have these dried up stains all over the wolverine logo. Like someone spilled something and it dried up that way. I wiped it off, but what was that? Some dried up fluids from a previous return? Also, there is an odd white stain and white markings there as well. I don't know what that is or what it could be. I get it, these are all hand made so things like off center stitching and glue marks are expected. Imperfections in a hand made boot is totally fine, like leather variations and some scuffs, cuts, glue stains, and things. I am totally fine with all of this. But the worst thing for me is...the toe box. The toe box looks like a cap toe variant of this 1000 mile boot. I ordered the original brown 1000 mile boot with the leather sole. And im not saying that a cap toe version was delivered, no. What im saying is that the structure of the toe cap is such that the leather seemed too tight there on the outside of the toe box, thus, allowing for the inner toe cup to be protruding. And this leaves an embossed imprint of a cap toe. Makes these look like Red Wing Iron Ranger toe box. So odd. I've went around many different stores trying on various colors and sizes and never seen this before. Unless i am bugging and this is the way the toe box is supposed to look. But I've seen a good handful of YouTube reviews, and saw them in hand in stores a dozen times.Another return for me. And this is a beautiful looking boot so i am extremely disappointed.I mean before you send out the product...just give it a once over. 1 minute of your time. And then ask yourself, will the customer accept this. 9 out of 10 times the answer is, no. So money is wasted on all these unnecessary shipping costs.

Got the cheapest color, but they won't be my last!
I guess nobody wanted the black suede ones, can't imagine why. Gorgeous. Sized half a size down happened to be the ticket for me. Imagine the luck that the nine and a halfs were $168?!as these boots can cost almost $400 depending on configuration, I thought this was a cost-effective way to get into a pair of Wolverines and get familiar with the brand over time. Conclusion:It's looking like I may be ordering some more expensive color configurations!!

Love these boots
Great boots, they were really good price for size 8 for some reason. I’m usually a 9 but 8 is perfect they run large. Really impressed with them, more dressy than red wing IR but can be dressed down too. Was worried about them not looking like pic but they are spot on

Sole durability
Lovely product yet for a boot of that price I would expect a more durable sole - they seem to wear very easily on the heel.

Hats off to great American quality and quality in general
Perfect fit incredibly comfortable paid an arm and a leg for them seeing as how they were the final model in that tone to what seems to be a discontinued finishBut with respect and great care I think these boots will be what I’m buried in

Boots not symmetrical
This is my third pair of 1000 miles ; and i am a bit disappointed with these ones : the right foot is fine but the back on the left one is not symmetrical as per the vertical axis ( see pictures) ; same for the left shoe tongue which is awkwardly stitched not in the middle ( see pictures) ; guess they’ll do the job but a bit strange for a 400$ boot; hope the quality insurance will improve with time.. Awaiting feedback from the company
