Will I be able to put the bottom edge of my monitor flat on my desk? Darn these bifocals anyway!

The Jarvis Monitor Arm is able to lower to 6.7" above the desktop, which is measured from the VESA plate (or center of the monitor). This should allow you to place the bottom edge of the monitor on the desktop.

Will this be able to hold dell ultrasharp 38 curved monitor: u3818dw?

Hey there! Our Jarvis Monitor Mounting Arm holds screens up to thirty-two inches, so I'm sorry to say it won't support your thirty-eight inch monitor. Let me know if I can help answer anymore questions!

If I buy the dual version with the laptop stand, can the laptop stand be removed and this used with two monitors instead?

Yes, the VESA plate that attaches to the laptop tray can detach and function in the same way to attach to your secondary monitor; It is multi-faceted.

Hi, is there a minimum thickness for the grommet and regular mounting options?

The Jarvis Monitor Arm can mount on surfaces with a minimum thickness of .4".
