Skip Hop Toddler Backpack, Zoo Preschool Ages 3-4, Dog

I love this cute little back pack. My son is 1 and we use it to carry his daily supplies back and forth to daycare and as a substitute diaper bag. He likes the bright colors and he knows it's his bag. We get lots of compliments on it where ever we go. It's the perfect size for a toddler and the straps are adjustable. It's sturdy and well made, and though it's on the small side, it holds just the right amount of stuff, (which for us is a lot since I'm an over-packer anyway). The name-tag inside didn't bleed and run when I wrote my son's name on it like most fabric tags do. The front pocket is great for the things you need more frequently like kleenux, and small toys, and it has a loop you can hook your keys onto. The side pouch is the perfect fit for a sippy cup. I so glad I got this; I just ordered the matching lunchbox and if I'm half as happy with it as I am with this backpack I'll be really pleased.Two weeks after I posted this review, and after barely 2 months of use, the zipper for the main compartment broke. I was heartbroken. I searched everywhere for the receipt so I could call for a possible replacement, but no luck. I spent an hour trying to repair it, which to my amazement, I eventually did, but now I feel that it's fragile and I'm waiting for it to break again. So I wanted to add this warming. Do not over-pack and stretch the zipper, it's only plastic and will stretch and bend. Keep an eye on the teeth as you can see them separating and that is your warning of impending breakage.I know this is made for little kids, but if I was the maker of this product I think that I would use a metal zipper for the main compartment as they are stronger and can take a lot more abuse than a plastic one.I still love and would recommend this product, I'd just be a little more careful with it.It's now been 9 months since I repaired the zipper and I haven't had a single problem with it since then. And, we LOVE the lunch box just as much as the backpack.

Such a cute little backpack! We got it for my child's first plane trip. It was perfect to fit all of the toys/activities for the plane and any down time in the hotel room. It was nice and light, so didn't add any extra weight for my 3-year-old to carry. Perfect plane backpack for a toddler! There is even a spot on the side to carry his water.

**Update** Aug 7, 2015We still regularly use this bag if we're planning to be away from the house a while. We've tossed it in the wash several times; it has minimal fading and we have never encountered color bleed. We regularly stash race cars/tractors, crayons, small books, a sippy cup, snack, and change of clothes. Definitely a cute and worthwhile purchase!**Original Review**I only bought this because I wanted to try a different bag (thinking out of the box, er, bag here) than the gigantic Jeep Weekender bag we have now. Diaper bags are like purses, the bigger they are the more stuff you feel you need to put in it! When I first got this Skip Hop pack I immediately agreed with other reviewers that it was way too small. HOWEVER, once I tried it out and put everything in it we'd need for a simple 2-3 hr outting, I found that SURPRISINGLY, everything fit just fine! Inside, I packed an extra outfit, a changing pad, a ziplock with crunchies, a ziplock with one stage 3 jar, one baby yogurt and a spoon, links with toy attached, and a wubbanub. Front pocket easily holds two diapers (maybe up to 4), small pack of wipes and a tube of diaper rash cream. Side pocket holds only a single bottle though. So far thats the only downside if you're planning to use this bag for an infant. Which is why I say it's good for a short outting. I haven't used it yet so I may have to update this review in a bit. This backpack is a good size for toddlers. Be warned that it won't fit a folder or larger sized books for school, and it's really for fun for 1-4 year olds. My son is now 22 months and loves it and always asks to wear his backpack. We took it on a cruise and used it to hold a diaper and some wipes and a couple toys while we walked around the cruise ship. The distinct design always makes it easy to find when we set it on chairs and we usually took it to dinner with us too, so there would be toys/crayons,etc for him to play with.There's a little mesh side pocket that will hold a sippy cup easily and a smaller zipper pouch on the front (the green part with the orange nose) which has a mesh pocket inside that will hold smaller items.Overall the design is super cute, it's quite sturdy, even with a toddler handling it often, and I'm happy with the purchase. I would buy another one in one of the other cute animal designs, too!

This backpack is seriously cute, my 21 month old took one look at it & spent the rest of the day dragging it around with various toys in it. I purchased it to use as an every day bag for my son, kind of graduating down from the large diaper bag we used to lug around. This backpack is sized perfectly for that. I can fit an outfit change, 3 diapers, a pack of wipes, 3 snack containers, 2 books, crayons, a small notepad, hand sanitizer, and a few small toys. And my favorite part? The water bottle pocket on the outside side of the bag, so I no longer have to cram his cup in a bag & worry about it spilling on the things inside. Plus the straps are cushioned so it's comfortable to throw over your (or your kid's!) shoulder. We purchased the dog, and the zippers are even little leather bone-shaped tabs- talk about attention to detail! I would purchase this again if given the choice, and I'd absolutely recommend it!

I purchased this backpack to primarily use as my daughter's restaurant bag. She's 19mo and currently going through that phase where she will only stay seated for about 20 minutes before she needs entertained. I was tired of lugging my giant diaper bag with me to the restaurant, so everything I need fits nicely into this 'doggy bag'. The front zipper pocket holds three size 4 diapers, a mini container of play doh, along with several disposable bibs and placements in the mesh pocket. The bag is big enough to hold a (1) large set piece of the Ju Ju Be Be Set, in which I put all of her snacks and food (pouches, granola bars, etc.) and eating utensils; (2) a zippered pencil pouch for stickers, coloring pages, crayons and a small notebook, (3) a silicone bib , (4) a sleeved bib and (5) a huggies clutch N clean for refillable wipes. There's room to spare once everything is inside too.I foresee this bag getting plenty of use after the stage of toddlerhood too. Would be great as an overnight back for grandma's a car busy-bag for car trips.

We bought this backpack for our 3.5-year-old. I wanted a bag he can carry himself to replace his diaper bag, which is going to his new little brother. He often wanted to carry the diaper bag himself, and it just wasn't made for little tikes to carry. This bag is perfect for him! He saw it on my computer before we bought it and fell in love. When it arrived, he immediately started stuffing it with his favorite toys and a couple of snacks. It's primary purpose is to carry a change of clothes for him (he's potty trained, but you gotta be prepared!) and a few snacks plus a couple of toys. The small size forces me to be selective in what I put in there, which keeps it light enough for him to carry without hurting his back. We can fit the essentials in there, and he enjoys being his own pack mule. :)

My nephew was running around with an adult backpack that he loved, but was as big as him. So I ordered him this one to fit him better. He was thrilled! Wouldn’t take it off for anything, and the colors and photo on it made his day. Perfect little person size. Quality seems pretty good too! Nephew loves it, so auntie loves it too.

Cercavo uno zainetto per mio figlio che va al nido e dalle mie ricerche ho capito che la marca skip hop è la migliore nel campo. Ho letto davvero tante recensioni positive, ma il prodotto ha addirittura superato le mie aspettative: colori brillanti, finiture a regola d’arte, ottima qualità dei materiali. L’etichetta riporta anche che lo zainetto è privo di sostanze tossiche, cosa per me molto importante. La capienza è buona, noi al momento lo usiamo solo per la borraccia e la bavetta.. ma penso che andrà benissimo anche alla materna perché rimane tanto spazio libero. Io lo consiglio perché sono per gli acquisti di qualità e duraturi.

Es skip hop, eso ya debería decir todo.El material muy muy bueno.La forma esta súper bien, tiene la parte grande para poner la mayoría de cosas, una pequeñita delante y hasta hueco para botella.La usamos en la guarde, en la piscina y hasta para ir a otros sitios, como la playa o de excursión.A mi hijo de 2 años y medio le encanta y aunque le va y pelin grandecita, la quiere llevar el mismo puesta.
