Best choice for this type of chair hands down!
I love it. I was nervous ordering it because I ordered a depointer chair (left in photo). I originally liked it, but the welding in the base gave and so they had to send me a new one. The new depointer chair sent was wobbly and crooked :( so I lost all trust with that company and decided to take a risk with a similar chair but different brand. IMMEDIATELY I noticed the difference. Respawn assembly was easier with better directions, the chair is soooooooo much more comfortable and soft. It's also larger (I am 6"2) so the recliner hits my ankles not mid calf like the depointer chair. My head also rests against the pillow comfortably in my respawn chair. The welding is much more reinforced and all in all, I am so happy with my respawn 900. Plus the company has great policies so you do not have to worry about the hassle I had to endure through depointer (they would not refund me even though the chair gave after only 7 months) there are a few similar models of this chair, so I hope people see this first, because Respawn is not only much higher quality for same price, but they actually care about their products quality and customer experience. I mean even the box it came in was super cool! Thanks Respawn!

2 years owning it now
So, I wanted the ultimate comfortable chair. I didn't care if it was a gaming chair or not. This had everything I wanted except wheels. Fixed that by ordering a 24-inch plant dolly and some zip ties. I started out weighing in at about 280 lbs. You're going to crush most padding so I ordered more. Also because my tailbone would hurt on any chair because I was so heavy. Modified. Wear and tear on the fabric is evident. It hits my desk when I move it to push it in or whatever. The cup holder for me is great to hold random things (KVM remote/Vape/etc.) but I wouldn't put a drink in it. I generally have this chair back and a lap board for my kb/m as I play Elden Ring, Lost Ark, or whether I'm deep in excel sheets/data analysis or research and its still comfortable. A bit expensive but when it comes to PC comfort for long hours of the day, this chair has delivered. OH I should say I talked to tech support about modifying it, and they said something blablabla warranty and blabla don't condone modifications. My guess is if you fall over they don't want to be held accountable. Not to be done if you have extra curricular activities with your SO during a PC session. But for moving the chair out of the way for vacuuming? Great!

Gamer Mom says "Don't lean forward!"
I was pretty excited to get this, and really surprised when it came a day earlier than expected. I was impressed with the packaging, each piece individually wrapped, foam on all the vitals. Assembly was all good until I got to the back of the chair, I needed my son to help me. That was the only part of the process where I felt two people were necessary. I didn't expect the base of this chair to be what it was actually. In the video and pics it looks plastic. It isn't. It's metal, not solid metal, but metal tubing. It has an elastic, pleather covering on it that is held in place by the feet of the base (like rivets). The chair is pretty comfortable overall. It has some lower lumbar support, but nothing to brag about. If you need extra lower support, this chair won't give it to you. It reminds me very much of a dental chair. The one issue I have with this chair...the seat. Me F, 5'8". The seat of this chair is very deep, my feet almost don't touch the floor if I sit all the way back in it. Again, I feel like a kid at the dentist. My mother, who is shorter than me, tried the chair. Before I could tell her to sit back in it, she almost dumped! She was sitting in the middle of the seat. I would say, do not sit forward of the middle of this, you will tip over. Now, on to the controls. The handle to recline the back of the chair needs to be pulled out in order to release a pin in the back of the chair which keeps it locked in place where you want it. I didn't figure this out right away, and I imagine that some of you will have the same issue. I tried to pull and push that handle a good couple times before i peeked over the side at what I was doing. *Facepalm* I was totally doing it wrong. So mental note, the handle gets pulled outward, away from the chair. Lastly I want to talk about the handle that allows you to bring the footrest up. This is the one piece of the chair that feels cheap. It's clunky. It's not tough to release, but it's not easy either. After spending what I spent on this item, that was the part that hurt most. I do like this chair, please don't get me wrong. These are just some of the gripes I had. You may feel differently. It really is an impressive chair when you see it. I imagine anyone 5'10" and taller would really feel comfy. I just need longer legs.

Best chair I’ve owned
Never let the bad reviews deter you from buying this. I truly think these are one off experiences. I put this together last night in about 45 minutes. I sat in it and it is one of the most durable yet soft gaming chairs I’ve ever owned all while offering support and stability for my neck! I’d recommend this to anyone and it’s worth the price point. Heavily considering buying a second one for my girlfriend!

Probably the best purchase I have made in awhile.
Update: I've had this chair for 2 or 3 years now and it is still my office gaming chair. I've moved to two different apartments since I wrote this and so there is some wear and tear from the move such as torn faux leather. There is now a tear right under where my hand would rest on the front side of the right hand rest and tears where my calves are on the leg rest. Ive had one part loosen on me during this whole time which is the bolt on back part of the chair where it connects with the arm rest, but that was easily fixed by re-tightening it. It is still the most comfortable chair in my house. I might get another one to replace this one soon for the grey fabric one for a change in breathability. To remedy the sweatiness in the summer, ive tied a hoodie around the head rest so that the back of covers my back from the leather of the chair. Its extra cushion and keeps me from sweating. Either than that, it is still going strong. Hope this update helps. Backstory: I am not a professional reviewer or pro gamer. Every now and then I will write a review on stuff because I feel like good products need honest support and reviews. I'm an older gamer and I'm 5'8 and 220 lbs. I'm a console gamer that likes long video games like Monster Hunter World and will sit in a chair for an entire day grinding it out when time lets me. Before this chair I was a "worn in office chair" kinda guy. I work hard and felt I deserved an upgrade, so i set out for my 1st gaming chair. I did a fair amount of research on Amazon, Engadget, Youtube... etc. and read all of the reviews here, so I knew I was looking for a chair for an open spot in my room and not for a desk. Unless you have a presidential sized desk, this is definitely a mini recliner type of chair and set for open spaces. Anyway, here's my honest review. Delivery: This will probably be my only complaint. I live in a not so nice neighborhood in San Diego and the Amazon driver literally left this thing in front of my apartment building. My apartment building is not hidden or enclosed. The front of my apartment is a very busy street. In my instructions on the app, I had clearly left instructions not to leave the box anywhere on the premises and to give me a call as I wont be home till after 3pm (work). He dropped it off sometime around noon, no phone call and right in front. Literally right on the sidewalk, leaning on the building and abandoned it. If i was not tracking the delivery at work and didnt drive like a bat out of hell, this chair would now be sitting in someone else's house. What the F...? Luckily, the box is nearly 5ft tall and weighs about 80lbs. The bad thing is that it comes in a generously labeled RESPAWN box and not an Amazon box. The entire neighborhood now knows that i own a $300 gaming chair. Thank you Amazon. Note: Anyone smaller should get some help, but people with a little muscle shouldn't have a problem carrying this inside. I carried this up 1 flight of stairs into my apartment with little to no problem. It took me no longer than 30 mins to put together. The instructions are helpful and really isn't too complicated to put together. The bolts and washers are nicely packed in a sealed package. Almost like Duracell batteries. As a matter of fact, they add parts in case you happen to lose some. There's also some youtube unboxing videos in case you need help. 1st sit experience (Upright Position): The closest thing I can describe sitting in this chair is like sitting in the passenger seat of a nice luxury car. Think the cockpit of a BMW 7 series or a Porsche Carrera. The faux leather is nice and super cushy, but firm to the point that its comfortable, but gives you ample support. Soft enough so that it feels great to the skin, but not real leather so you're not sliding around in it. Even as stocky as I am I can still shift my butt from one side or the other comfortably. It is snug enough that it feels super comfy but not restricted enough that this felt like a child's chair. I felt as if maybe I would need a lumbar pillow, but the ergonomics of the chair hasn't really given me the yearning to get one. The support feels great simply put. Note that he chair is warm. I normally am a person who runs warmer than most and luckily it's starting to get cooler here or I would be sweating. Faux/real leather is notorious for not breathing and will use your body heat against you. Just an fyi... The pillow is perfect for my height and is super comfortable. It's great neck support if anything as the ergonmics fit the curvature of my back very well. I've not felt a need to detach it yet and I'm a dude who can care less for pillows. The armrests are wide and covered in the same faux material. They're sturdy and again, super comfy. The cup holder is on the left side and as said in other reviews can fit cans of soda but nothing xl. I've used it for my vapes and glasses since I have a small folding table next to my chair anyhow. Resting your arms on the full rest though, it feels really comfortable and you can easily forget that the cupholder is there. There is the pouch under the left armrest, but honestly, I havent used it for anything. Probably could do without it. Unlike the reviews I've read, I cannot feel the bars in the chair. It is too plush. Then again, i cant say that its fairly worn in yet. It still has the new sheen to it. With the lack of a better description, I felt like Professor X in his super futuristic hover chair. In the upright position my feet touch the floor and I can imagine you can comfortably have hours of long conversations or can do a copious amount of paperwork in this position. Very nice. Was feeling super happy about my purchase. Lounge Position: This is probably the most used position as I've only had it for a week and half. There are 2 levers on the side. 1 is to recline and the other is to lift the leg rest. The mechanism is kinda loud and a little clunky, but if you think about it, even of the smoothest Lay-Z-Boy, their mechanisms aren't quiet either and they're in a full enclosure muffled by heavy fabric. This chair isn't too much louder for being out in the open and it's sturdy. No complaints there. Kudos in effectively hiding it though. The position for gaming is just right. Fair warning, this chair will make you sleepy. I was literally fighting sleep an hour into playing, my first time using it and I had to quit to take a nap after. The leg rest could be a tad higher, but really is comfortable and super sturdy where it is at. Sitting in it with my legs out, the leg rest reaches to right below my calves and right above my ankles. Perfect. I can fold my legs and push down with my feet and it is sturdy enough where I can shift myself up without feeling like its going to give. Nice design. again...as I said, super sturdy. Fully laid back: Best thing I can compare it to is laying back in the passenger seat of a nice car. You're not exactly laying flat but you are comfortable, but unlike a bed, obviously restricted. It would be comfortable to nap in, but really I havent found a reason to use this position for anything yet. Conclusion: Great chair. I will definitely put many miles on it. I would say, if you're not looking to buy a $500 gaming chair, but you want a nice one for you're own personal use, you can't go wrong with this one. From watching Netflix to gaming, I could sit in this thing for hours with no problem. It's definitely high quality for the price.

Best buy for the price range
This chair was purchased as a gift for my wife, and she loves it. It’s very comfortable, and seems to be well made. The cup holder puts it over the top compared to our previous gaming chair that didn’t last nearly as long as it should have.

It's OK. But for the price I was expecting something....more?
It's pretty comfortable for the most part. The seat part has ok padding but there is a metal bar that goes across the front of the chair you can feel sometimes depending on how you sit. I'm 5'10 170lbs and it feels like it was made for someone slightly shorter on the back and feels like my legs are almost to short for the seat part. It's weird. I have to use a small pillow for my lower back. To push my butt further from the back of the chair so my legs are more comfortable. The head pillow that comes with it is pretty good. No complaints there. My biggest issue is when you lean back or sit forward there is a slight shift where the back meets the base that makes a noise and can be felt. It's not a big deal but it's slightly annoying. For something that costs just under 300 bucks I kinda expected it to have a better fit where nothing slid around. The cup holder is ok but it is in a slightly annoying place because if you like to lean forward and play your left elbow would sit exactly where the holder is. So there is either a drink in the way or my elbow is resting on hard plastic... would be nice if the armrest where a little higher up also. Finally I've had this chair for about 5 months and use it everyday as my main chair. Today I noticed that my chair has a new wobble like what you would get in an old wooden chair. It seems to be comeing from the metal fitting that connects the round base and the bottom of the chair. As when I rock back and forth gently with my hand on the fitting i can feel it move slightly. It's very annoying and I can't seem to figure out a fix. Definitely won't buy again but suits my needs for now. All in all an average 3 stars. Could be better but could be worse. Oh and the leg rest is ok. The arm that lifts it is only on the right side so after a few months I've noticed it slightly leans left from the weight of my legs. Since the left side has no support under it there's nothing really keeping the leg rest straight. It's comfortable on the legs though.

It's a 5-Star Perfomer For a Particular Niche
Overall Grade: 5 Stars for its particular purpose Quick Pros: High comfort, arms can sprawl, convenience features, and solid recline. Excellent instructions and easy assembly. Quick Neutrals: Not a desk chair; this is not a negative, it was never intended for that purpose. Quick Cons: Very size dependent; amazing if you're an "average" North American but if you're shorter or taller there could be better options. Detailed Review: If you're looking for a gaming chair, you've probably come across a tonne of OEM no-name options selling the same stuff, and this Respawn 900 caught your eye while doom scrolling the never-ending possibilities and you went "what is that?" Well, that's what happened to me too. If you're caught in an endless loop of evaluating between splurging on a streamer-calibre name like Secret Lab/Corsair or the budget "generic Amazon brand" options Respawn occupies a nice middle ground. First off, this is not an office chair. Most gaming chairs pull double duty and this one is decidedly designed different (although, Respawn also makes the 110 model which IS in that class). This chair is not meant to be rolled around the office, it is stationary; it is designed to be plunked down in front of a TV in a gamer den/living room. That's not a negative; it shows some real design chops by Respawn for doing so and it actually leads to many of the chair's strengths. The reason I made the comparison to OEM models above is because the Respawn stands out only after it arrives. The instructions are your first clue: a large laminated guide with clear illustrations and genuinely well-written English. Even small details—like recommending a socket wrench for one step—show that someone actually thought about the assembly experience. The chair itself is incredibly sturdy. Keep in mind, I am an completely average male at 5'9, 180lbs. I settle into the chair comfortably, but by my estimate if you are over 6'2 or under 5'4, the chair may be less accommodating. It also sits incredibly low compared to others; you have to descend into it and the experience is very different. You have to learn to trust it. Like I said, it's not an office chair, there is no gas-powered height adjustment to ease ingress/egress. The stitching on the chair is high quality, as well as the accent piping. Even the cupholder's facade is properly sealed against the faux leather. Production quality is apparent. One of my favourite things compared to an office-style gaming chair are the armrests. They are meant to allow your arms to sprawl out wide, not keep you constrained in a typing stance. Your wingspan can truly spread out wide here and it's glorious, especially when reclined. This is closer to a Lay-Z-Boy than a Secret Labs. Overall, this chair is perfect if your use case is its particular niche. It's the kind of chair I'd recommend to someone who I know spends time with a console in front of a TV or is just looking for gamer-styled furniture in a living room; it would be a surprisingly strong contender if you wanted a full-on recliner but don't want to spend that much money at a real furniture store. If you want a gaming chair that pulls double duty as a production space, this is likely not your best bet, but it absolutely nails its designed purpose.
