I bought this for tempering chocolate as I make my own Keto chocolate bars. Much cheaper To make these at home rather than buying expensive Keto Commercial products. Some recipes I follow are wanting Fahrenheit - usually USA recipes - so this device is great for that option and readings. Using centigrade is fine though too.Perfect size for the various tasks and the folding probe is superb. It can also magnetically attach to my knife rack so all in all a very well thought out design.We also make our own chutneys and jams at home so having a great thermometer to tell us the magic temperatures are reached Is perfect. We,ve used a jam thermometer in the past but trying to read the fine mercury in the tube was always difficult. With this new Habor device, life is suddenly easier. (and yes, jam is really a no no for me as the Keto lifestyle man - but the rest of the family can have the jam!).Quick and simple to get the perfect meat temperature too. With Christmas meats not far away it will certainly get a great deal of use.I was also impressed by the relatively low cost.The packaging it comes in is also great with a super little booklet and a list of various temperatures needed covering various meats - including all the various cuts of meat - plus fish.All in all a great buy and I’m not disappointed.It’s going to be one of those purchases that will be well used and appreciated rather than something else rattling around in a drawer.

It is amazing to have this thermometer into your kitchen...is easy to use and read...it's a "must have" for everyone...and what is interesting on the back you have the temperature for diferent types of meat...The thermometer have light so you can read even on the dark. If you turn around the thermometer the writing is coming in the position so you can read...is great for all type of meat and not only meat(i think).I am so happy to have one and special this one i really recomend for everyone.

I bought 3 of these 1 still works perfectly, but 1 Stopped working after 2 months ( I have changed the Battery) the send one stopped working today (edit) today the 3rd one has stopped working. That’s all three gave up after a matter of weeks.Update. The supplier did replace the 3 original thermometers, but these also failed after a number of weeks. these have been used by 3 different family members in their own kitchens, so its not just one person doing something wrong...

Works well for the short time it actual works!Keeps coming up with a ‘LO’ message on the screen and no longer works despite changing the battery twice.All I see is this message and no temperature reading.Poor reliability and a waste of money.

Bought this, opened it up, batteries already in, read the instructions, it just won’t turn on!!!! What a disappointment. Returned the item. Gave this 1 star but for some reason it says 4 star definitely not 4*

First time I have had one of these thermometers so I have nothing to compare it with.I am very pleased with it. Only used for liquids so far as I do not eat or cook meat so cannot comment on the latter, as for liquids it is excellent.Ergonomic shape so easy to hold.Very quick to reach temperature. Even records room temperature.Love the way you pull out the metal spike and it turns on, then off when you return it.Lovely bright colour so easy to find if you keep in utensil draw. Can be hung up also.Very easy to read temperature as the screen is a good size.Recommend.

This initially was a great thermometer. Accurate and useful. However I used it approx 10 times and already it is broken. Unsurprisingly it is now a month after the returns window also. Wouldn’t recommend.
