I had always used a knife to remove corn kernels, but this is so much easier! It glides smoothly over the cob and cuts the corn without splattering the kernels all over my countertop.

I am a big fan of good grips products . I found this corn stripper to work pretty well because it’s sharp and a good product with great grips . That said next season I’ll be striping just a bit of corn for soups in the winter . I tried this tool on huge thick ears of corn with very deep kernels last august . The tool worked well but was not quite deep enough for this over sized corn I had. I’ll be using it again next year for fresh corn for winter soups. I think with some practice I could stop a dozen ears fairly quickly . It’s a good tool but don’t plan on stripping a huge harvest of fresh corn in the cob . It’s great for when you have leftover corn to strip and freeze though . I have a small hand and it worked well for keeping a grip . Possibly it could be a bit deeper for large kernels . I don’t know because this was the first time I ever tried to strip corn off a cob. The tool made it fairly easy and the blade stated firm and very sharp .

This tool works great. I've tried others and this is the best yet. So easy to use and it cleans the cob to perfection.

I love this tool! The first time I used it, it didn't seem to work very well, so I went back and watched one of the videos that have been posted to Amazon showing how others use this tool. Wow, what a difference! Instead of trying to strip the corn while holding the cob vertically -- which didn't seem to work well at all -- I'm now laying the ear of corn down on a cutting board, holding it steady with my left hand and stripping from left to right. I'm amazed at how cleanly and uniformly it strips every kernel of corn off the cob while applying almost no pressure at all. This tool is well made, fits comfortably and ergonomically in the palm of my hand, and is worth every penny. I absolutely love it and think it would make a terrific stocking stuffer at Christmas.

I've tried different ways to cut corn off the cob. A knife (not the safest because you need to hold onto the cob while you cut and the bottom of the cob isn't a flat surface. You can cut it but it's just a pain and it makes a mess.The other tools that are circles and have spiky teeth won't fit all size corn cobs and you can cut yourself on the serrated edge. I've seen other ways, like using a bunt pan. But this little gadget does it best of all!This handy tool is small. It easily fits in a drawer, it almost lies totally flat. It works and it's fast. I can control how close to get to the cob.One of my kids has braces and she can't eat corn on the cob, so I'm happy that now I don't dread the job! Also great for making Mexican street corn. I like eating corn on the cob too but I also like not getting corn in my teeth! I'm glad I took a chance on this and that it works so well. I'm a fan of OXO products and this one didn't let me down!
