How long can it be used?

Our border collie still has it -the head of the sloth dangling from its body and squeak gone within a week. It's in his toy basket along with many other victims. He likes it and plays with it some. Gordon is an earlier version, also damaged but still alive. He took to Gordon right off. It has been several years, but Gordon remains one his favorites. (both versions are from barkbox, I believe).
