Best MGS action figures ever
This is hands down one of the best metal gear solid action figures ever produced. I own a lot of the play arts Kai figures, and they're cool but are really limited when it comes to articulation and posability. Also, I prefer the way these look in comparison. The play arts figures are more realistic looking, but these are more faithful to the artwork of metal gear solid. It also comes with tons of accessories and extra parts. Plus, the eyes are posable too! You can move the eyes! If you're a fan of the games, and want a truly amazing figure that will meet and surpass all of your articulation and posability expectations then I would definitely recommend these. This figure got me hooked and I've already ordered all of the metal gear solid figures in the revoltech line because of it.

Snake? SNAAAKKEEE!?
I was a little concerned when I first read the reviews saying he looked too cartoonish, but when it arrived I was very happy with my decision. The face, while not perfectly modeled, definitely resembles snake and I think that this figure is amazing considering everything you get with it and considering how posable it is. I love the MGS series and this figure definitely does the series justice, just wish it costed a bit less.

Neat but not great
Don't get me wrong, I think the figure is quite nice. However it's not as poseable as I thought. It has a LOT of points of articulation but the joints are very stiff. I'm afraid of actually having to manhandle this thing because it doesn't feel very sturdy. It has a lot of nifty little things like lots of weapons, a little weapons locker box and even a cutout of the cardboard box but Snake himself doesn't feel very well built. It has a stand and a little post to prop up the figure but even still parts of his arms don't look right. It's cool but I wouldn't spend too much on him. The Revoltech-minis seems to be more pose friendly than the actual regular sized ones.

Close to perfect
Areas of Review:SculptHead and Body sculptArticulationPaint AppsPackagingAccessoriesOverall gradeHead and face sculpt: Snake resembles his usual likeness but lacks the gritty features of recent Metal Gear games thanks to his less detailed anime-art style. Although still a quality sculpt, his features are softer with less shadowing and detail. His head has 3 individual parts- 4 if you count the head band strands that snap on in the back. The top hair piece, back of mullet hair piece and face all connect with small Revoltech joints. His eye-ball is moveable (a nice touch) allowing for some great facial expressions but is difficult to move because of its position in the socket and small size. His head sits on a ball and socket joint atop his neck. All in all a nice sculpt. Skin and hair colors are done well. The strands of his head band pop into back of his head on a peg and can be rotated around at point of insertion but peg is weak- mine broke off with only one use. Neck piece has ball joint on both ends.Body Sculpt: A good sculpt with high attention detail. Suit color, texture and sculpt of cloth/material folds are well done. Straps are individually sculpted around waist and groin just like video game suit.Articulation: If you are new to revoltech figures and articulation, it may take some getting used to. The figures are built to look good in stationary poses but in my opinion not sturdy enough to be frequently posed or played with. The limbs and jointed sections of body will come out of there sockets often. Also the design and angles of the cuts in these joints makes natural movement awkward and lends to the frequency of the figure coming apart (frustrating). The ratchet-style ball peg joints used are sturdy and don't break easy but they just aren't anchored well enough into body. Snake does have a double ball and socket neck joint, ball jointed upper torso and ball jointed abdominal crunch, ball jointed shoulders, elbows, knees, wrists and ankles. His shoulders are not the usual and more practical ball joint seen in marvel legends figures- they sit on top of his collar bone and swivel left and right more than forward/backward. His knee pads also have peg and swivel movement.Paint: gloss and matte black combinations with grey washes and green on sculpted straps. Quality paint with very little errors. Captures likeness and detail nicely.Package: Box has good window view of figure inside. Pictures of iconic poses on back. Yamaguchi brand and Snake and Metal Gear logos.Accessories: The most bang for your buck! More accessories than 95% of figures out there. Open, fist, gun trigger and cigarette hands for each left and right plus climbing accessory hands. Iconic Pistol with silencer, M16, stun knife, red and blue expression exclamation points, Snoring Zzzz's, and classic cardboard box with anniversary graphics. Box must be folded, cut and put together.Overall: A good addition to any figure enthusiasts collection or even just a fan of the series. Will look good on shelf solo or with other figures. Style and accessories score high but articulation and durability keep this figure from being stellar. B+

Buy figma or figuarts before this...
I will never buy a revoltech again. The name says it, Revolt-ing... disgusting smell and quality, the neck doesn't like up with the chest, the posing ability is horrendous. The joint style and quality compared to Figuarts or Figma is absolutely crap. Good for kids but as a collector I think this is junk compared to my other purchases at the same price..

Great for any Metal Gear fan
I've owned this figure for over a month now and I gotta say I still love it every time I go into my room. The poses that are possible with this figure are pretty endless... Every limb can be moved freely with ease which makes for great action poses. It does have a different type of "Artstyle" that may put some people off but honestly I was completely fine with the way it looks... If you're looking for something that's alittle more true to the MGS artstyle then you may like the Play Arts Kai figure line of Metal Gear. The Box, Weapons and "!" "Zzz" are great, every week I'm changing the pose with something new.As someone who played every Metal Gear game multiple times. I love this thing to death... Cant wait till Revoltech Raiden comes out.

Snake for the win !!!!!!
Looks fantastic and completely free range of motion. I absolutely love metal gear solid!!!!!! And this was a perfect for my buddy since he trying to finish all the metal gear solid before heading to the Phantom pain. But I will say the box that holds the figure was completely in terrible conditions and I would of send it back for a brand new model but I had no time for that. For record I feel the figure is missing parts
