What do the labels on the top of the pens mean? There is a "L" and a "S," but those do not match the picture of the types of pens.

I assumed they stood for the size of the marker. L=large, xs= extra small, s=small, m=medium, this corresponded which the visual sizes of the pens. The other pens in the set had an actual size such as 2mm =2 millimeters.

Are these the same as micron pens for zentangling?

No these are not for Zentangle. I have Zentangle pens and they are very different.
