As a child of the 70s, I had one of these, and am happy to be able to give it to my little ones. I bought it for our 10-month old twins, and they love it. As far as I recall, this seems close to the vintage toy, except that the pull tab is a solid piece, rather than a ring (not important, but maybe interesting if you notice such things.) We ditched the newer style one with the lever, because it was too loud, and the girl's voice in it sounds a bit surly!--not friendly to young ears, I should think. And personally, I don't want to hear the thing singing "old MacDonald", all day! This version is the one I'd recommend. Update: I regret to say that this developed a hitch, after about 4 months of use, and now is stuck on announcing the dog. Adorable though he is, we'd like to hear the turkey and others, sometimes! The babies like this toy enough that I may get a replacement, though.

Small in size. Not the size as the original toy but easier for children to hold!

This is what happens when corporate bean counters cut corners to maximize shareholder profits. This looks and operates like the one your kids grew up with for the last 50 years but you can barely hear the animal noises and can’t hear the farmer speaking at all, the only thing you hear is the mechanism. I am returning this, I’ll find a vintage one on eBay, the old ones did not require batteries and you could clearly hear the animals and speech. I was so disappointed with this toy.

This is a great gift for children and it’s very educational, especially if the adult play with the toy with the kid in the beginning

Somewhat disappointed. I wanted to buy this for my 2 yr old grandson. I had one when I was a little girl. First it seems 1/2 the size. The string is short and hard to pull. While the “farmer” spends its very loud and seems to take away from the animal sounds.

Very cute toy. I had one growing up and bought have one for my children. It is half the size, which is fine but the cord is shorter and a bit harder to pull which also makes the sound shorter. It is hard to understand some of the animals but the 18 mouth old I bought it for seems to love it.

I had this as a child and I was so happy that it was available to purchase so I could share it with my own children. I still love it and they love it too.

El producto lo ponían como segunda mano pero la verdad es que solo tenía la caja un poco mal y como si lo hubieran limpiado un un trapo un poco húmedo. Pero el producto es perfecto. Y por solo 15 € le hicieron una rebaja considerable. La pena es no encontrar otras ofertas así. Volveré a comprar productos relacionados o de segunda mano.

Bought this for my grandson for Christmas, so it hasn't been used yet. My eldest daughter had one many years ago (she's 40) and she loved it. It just seems smaller than the one we used to have. But I'm sure my grandson will love it.

I read some reviews about the spinning sound being so loud that you couldn’t hear the farmer’s voice, but this is not the case with ours! It works great, just like the classic toy. Our 9 month old loves it, but he’s not able to pull the cord to make it spin on his own.
