There's a slit down the back to be able to slide them on. I cut mine to size with a saw

They are more copper\ Rose gold in colour.I bought them to cover copper pipes.

The diameter of the escutcheon plates is 63.5mm and the maximum (there are two longitudinal ribs) diameter of the sleeves is 19mm. Hope this helps.
