$20+ for proper hoses and other materials like adapters if needed
Do not buy this product. It is lacking everything needed to run. I know the description mentions that ( in very small print) but I was hoping that when I received it that the instructions would help guide me with gathering the other materials. It does not. The instructions are very vague. You have to buy an adapter (4-6 VAC) first off. Most adapters I have found online I have had trouble understanding which one would fit this model. The device has two metal prongs at the top in which to plug the adapter into which does not fit the design of most adapters I have found. Since I am not really into electrical systems I don't really know what to buy that would fit this model and the instructions give no help at all. Next you need to get a vacuum pump. Well this is obvious but you also cannot use the vacuum pump until you have a vacuum plate to set the device on. There is no where on this device to run a hose so you need to buy a special plate to run the hose and plug up the pump. I bought this device because it was cheap but let me see: $36 for the device, $32 at least for the vacuum plate, $16+ for the adapter, $30 minimum for a pump, $20+ for proper hoses and other materials like adapters if needed. So in the end this was definitely not the cheaper option compared to other sets that come with all of the components. I am not planning on using this device. I will just buy another one that is complete and ready to use.

Says new, got used
I got my first one, and the bell was scratched up and hard to see through. I sent it back and got it replaced, and the second one was just as bad, maybe worse. The listing said these were brand new, but it is obvious these were used in a classroom before.

It doesn't look like manufacturing defects and appears to be used equipment
This acrylic jar is very scratched and marked up. It doesn't look like manufacturing defects and appears to be used equipment. Also the product shipped does not match the image.
