Bosch 06008C1J70 Electric Grass Trimmer EasyGrassCut 26 (280 Watt, Cutting Diameter 26 cm, in Carton Packaging)

Excellent product!!! After reading bunch of bad reviews I've decided to give a try and prove that is fantastic tool. As most people said the cord is the weakest spot and that was the case over all. What I did , change the lead straight out of the box. Included cord is only 1.6mm thick and could break quite easily if you go too close to something hard ( don't expect miracles on this price point). I bought 3mm the cheapest available cost about 4-5£ for 15meters and with little DIY ( required to drill the lead exit because is about 2.5mm diameter, if you replace with 2.5mm cord doesn't have to drill) . The results is more then impressive , works like a charm. To all people who want to get something decent with little rework that is the way. For all other people just spend about £100 and don't complain.

A previous (very useful) reviewer suggested that issues with the cutting line breaking all the time could be solved by buying a thicker line. S/he mentioned drilling the "anchoring" hole a little larger in the plastic spool, and using a 3mm line. I didn't trust my plastic-drilling skills, but another reviewer had said that a 2.4mm line would fit in, so I bought a pretty solid plastic one for about £3.50. Sadly, it didn't fit but, undaunted, I took a sharp penknife and sort of whittled the last half inch or so of the cutting line, so that I could anchor it into the hole. That worked and after that the line also passed easily through the external hole, and I now have a very feisty strimmer that easily cuts through brambles, dandelions and even the dreaded Mare's Tail. The only hassle will be having to whittle the end of the line when I replace it, but it takes just seconds to do. I'd rather do that than spend £100 + on something that isn't much better. One thing to highlight is the dreadful noise it makes if you leave the cutting line too long. I guess this is true of all strimmers. The line should extend just to the inside edge of the guard and no further.

I had a large petrol strimmer which was a mission to get running. Replaced it with this little number. I do need an extension as the yard is quite large, but it works perfectly. I had to upgrade the string as the one supplied broke quite easily, but this was not an issue. It is NOT an auto feed unit, so you need to keep an eye on the length of cutting string, as this needs to be refreshed manually with a little button underneath. Lightweight and easy to use. Powerful enough to cut down small brush as well. I would recommend this as a cost effective strimmer.

Excellent machine. Well worth the money. The spool is easy to take out and rewire. Although the wire that comes with it is useless. Kept breaking. Suggest installing a thicker wire. Spool is very easy to take out and put back. Though you have to keep your cool whilst you are winding the new wire on. You just manage to put the wire on the spool and then it slips and all comes undone. A a a a a a a h! ( silent scream ) . Though once it is wired it is very easy to install. All in all can highly recommend this machine.

Although strimmer itself works very well we are disappointed with the plastic grass cutting cable. It continually breaks.

I have previously used Flymo strimmers but wanted to change because the cords were quite poor and were forever snapping. I read the product reviews for this Bosch strimmer, many of which were very negative, but I decided to order one. It was very easy to assemble and use. I have only used it once on my 100m2+ back lawn which is surrounded with paving flags, and had no problems at all with the cord which is automaticaly fed and also has a manual feed button. The only areas of improvement for me, are that the mains lead is only 5.5m and should be 10m, and a hook to wrap the mains lead around when the strimmer is not in use would be handy. I recommend this product.

I wanted an easy to use strimmer, I bought a more expensive one and couldn't get the twine release to work, so a waste of money. This cheap little version is so much lighter to hold and much easier to change the trimmer spoil, which is good as the twine that comes as standard with this model breaks every few inches, literally, so if you buy this trimmer make sure you buy a stronger spool of twine, 2.4mm or even 3mm. Other than the twine snapping I found this great to use on it's first outing.

3 years on, I still use this product and it has proved better than any replacements. However, a big downside is that the wire cuts easily even with extra precaution taken. Nonetheless, it cuts grass brilliantly and is ideal for edges as well as sections of grass.

حسب تجربتي للاستخدام الأول … هذا الجهاز الذي ابحث عنه … انصحه به للاماكن الصغير والصعب الوصول اليه … اتمنى ان تكون كذلك طيبة الاستخدمات القادمة ….

This machine gets the job done “somehow”. It’s not for the average home owner or user. It requires you to hold the machine 100% parallel to the ground (which is quite hard if not impossible) with two hands and move it around the garden, all the while it’s vibrating and shaking excessively. Be informed that there is no “blade” as such, instead there is a metallic wire which rotates at high speed thus cutting the grass in its path. If you don’t care about the uniformity of your grass height and just somehow get it small, this device works for you. I have used it couple times now after 1 month of usage and I still cut it wrongly and unevenly which make the grass look uneven and patchy. Ultimately you get what you paid for, this looked cheap but I bought it because of Bosch. I feel simple design adjustments could’ve made this a better product, thus my low product rating. Also you need to extra careful as it bled/cut my toe because I was trying to cut the grass near my feet while wearing open sandals (my mistake).

Great performance, light weight, and strong build. Excellent for small areas where you dont full size mower Only if there is attached accessory to collect the grass after cutting it.
