Buttoned Down Men's Classic Fit Button Collar Pattern Dress Shirt

Nice shirt in terms of quality of materials. However it was too small by a lot. Even the "Classic Fit" has an annoyingly trim cut to it. Order a MUCH larger size. I ended up giving this one to my much slimmer teen aged son and it fit him well.

The shirt material is great as well as the fit, except for the length. I am 6'2 and wear a 36in sleeve, yet the shirt barely went lower than my waist and would not stay tucked in. Would be great if they offered true tall cut shirts, instead of just the sleeve length!

These shirts are fantastic quality. Beautiful fit and finish. I was previously buying Tommy Hilfiger dress shirts for my husband, who is a physician. He liked those in particular because they have a non-iron fabric that was easy to keep nice during the day. They also had a pocket for the pen light, pen, and other instruments he keeps on him. But, I noticed a decline in quality and started looking around. Buttons were coming off really quickly and that is just too annoying to deal with. They were also breaking on the second or third dry-cleaning. Why?!!! I saw these amazon shirts and thought I would give them a shot. They are much better quality and actually fit him better than the L-XL type sizing of Tommy Hilfiger. I could tell he felt more confident in these shirts. The patterns look more professional too. I hope Amazon doesn't get cheap on the manufacturing because I really like these.

Very strange fit after first wash and dry on mild heat. I ordered the next size up. I normally take a 17.5 with 35 inch sleeve and ordered 18/36 based on feedback from other buyers. Shirt fit a little big out of the package which I expected. After washing the sleeves were fine but the length in front/back shrank considerably as did shoulders. This shirt shrinks a lot even drying on mild heat. I rarely wash shirts after the first time, most are pressed at the cleaners so overall shrinkage is controlled. I will be asking to send this one back.

The material is nice and the quality was as I expected for the price. Unfortunately the length of the shirts is quite short - particularly in the tail length. I offered a 36" sleeve which is almost always good for me when buying other brands like Van Heusen or Joseph A Banks but these are at least two inches too short at the waist. I'd have to order at least a 38 but fear that the sleeve would be way too long.

I know everyone is different, but I am so confused about negative reviews for Buttoned Down shirts. I am 6'6", weigh 265, and have a decent amount of muscle. I ordered a 17-1/2-38 classic fit shirt and it is great! The material is good quality, the fit is as good as you can expect for not being bespoke, the finish is good, and the are comfortable. I now own four and don't plan on buying any other shirt unless they stop selling them!

Love the look, material, and quality of this shirt. BUT... It is a tad on the small size. Both neck and sleeves are small. I'm going to have to return this one mainly because the sleeves are a bit too short. Unfortunately, in the color I want, they don't have a 16 1/2 X 35" size.

My husband has a specific fit and he's very picky about his shirts. I was a bit nervous going out on a limb and choosing a brand that he's not used to. He loves the print. It's easy to care for, looks so great on him, a tremendous value for the quality, and I know it's going to last a long time. This was a Christmas gift and when he opened it, he asked me where I found it. "Amazon." He was surprised they had his size (I'm not, it's Amazon!). This shirt fits him perfectly and it's one of his new go-to shirts. I know I'll be able to buy this brand again because it's now one of his favorites. He says I struck gold with this one and that makes it worth every penny.

I decided to buy two of the Buttoned Down shirts to check out their quality and fit. I bought one in classic fit, and the other in tailored. I'm 6'1" with a reasonably fit body. For quality, these are really nice shirts. The cotton is soft to the touch, and definitely representative of a supima cotton shirt. The colours are bright and vibrant, and the shirt collars are a nice length (although they could be just a little longer. Of the two sizes, however, I like the fit of the classic over the tailored. I found the tailored was just a little too tight when wearing an undershirt. Nevertheless, I kept both shirts.

I have long arms and am tall. I'm by no means thin, but my options for long sleeves are either get something that fits my body with sleeves that stop at my elbows, or get sleeves that fit with a tarp over my body. This shirt is the latter for me, but at least I can get it tailored to take it in. Material is nice. Feels nice and durable.

I've come from Nautica and these were a nice offset.
