Speco ASPC20 20W 6" Weatherproof Amplified PA Speaker Also for Digital Deterrent

Great quality build.Outstanding performance, this thing is obnoxiously loud (just what the doctor ordered).I've mounted this in my engine compartment, wired through the firewall to my CB for use in PA mode.The frequency response is perfect for voice and siren audio.Fire away!

Mount it. Wire up power and ground to battery and sound input to output source (like a CB). Adjust knob on speaker all the way up and then slowly down until there is no ground noise coming through while not speaking. Then the rest of the adjustments can be made at the source (like a CB). Works awesome and loud over my cammed straight pipe Hemi.

The media could not be loaded.  This speaker is absolutely awesome, it was actually way louder than I expected. I mounted mine on my big rig under the driver's side step, even with my rig running you can hear it quite a ways away, it's not quite as loud as the PA system that cops have in they're cruisers, but pretty close. I've been through several rain storms and the water had absolutely no effect on it whatsoever. Highly highly impressed! FYI I'm running a high powered export radio Connex 4600 Turbo. You control the volume with your mic gain, also my echo board is connected to the PA circuit that's pretty awesome 👌.

The speaker is nice and loud, but only when it wants to be. It seems like something has failed inside the unit. It is installed under my hood (Jeep Wrangler- plenty of space, atop the driver's side fender.) When my vehicle heats up, it stops producing sound. Sometimes (rarely) I can go to it when its cool, and it will function temporarily. I really wish the unit would have lasted longer. I didn't get to use it out on the field, as it failed before I could take it out.

I get a terrible buzzing from my single din radio speakers when I turn to the pa function it also has a lot of squelch when I que the mic maybe it's to close to my cb since it's right under my driver's seat in an old 96 f250 I'm not very impressed so far and would probably be better off with just a 10-20$ pa speaker... Not as high quality as I would expect for 60+ $

I hooked this up to a Cobra D19vx CB. I cannot turn the volume of the speaker up more than a hair from zero. If the volume was from 1 to 10 I can't get it past maybe .75. Any higher and when you key your mic you get nothing but squelch. I switched to a noise cancelling mic and it helped so now I can turn the volume up to 1 on the speaker. However, it seems loud enough. Ill have to see how it sounds over engine noise.I called Speco Technologies and tech stated it could be due to the CB have a small amperage out putting that is fighting with the speakers amp. So maybe this should only be used with an unamplified PA system and not a CB? If this was addressed in the manual I would have given it 4 stars. Anyone solved this issue?

Awesome pa speaker for my CB Radio in my Semi Truck I’ve had a lot of fun with it especially in traffic backups . You should See people looking around for the location of voice talking to them! Sound Quality is Good But On Back Of Speaker there are Adjustments if you turn it past 3/4 it will squeal when You Key Up and Speak. Besides that it’s Worth The Money!

A little difficult to install. I had to splice a 3.5 audio jack, then route power from the car battery. Also, wired an on/off switch... but goodness, this thing will turn heads around. Loud and proud!
