Dow Corning 995 Silicone Structural Sealant - White

I used this product to attach security film to the window frame, and before I used this I didn't understand why this particular product was needed, I do now. This stuff comes out like a thick glue and will stick to anything. I have used many different types of caulking and liquid nails type products but this stuff takes it to the next level. Some advice: use painters or masking tape to limit where this stuff goes, and just in case make sure to have some mineral spirits handy as this is not water based, and will not wash off, as I found out the hard way (which was my fault, didn't read all the instructions)On the down side, this stuff is very expensive and as such is only used for very specific applications, but works very well for those applications.

Are used this product to reseal all the windows in my RV. I’ve used it before. It is incredible! Unbelievably strong and watertight and durable. With caution it’s messy and make sure you wear gloves, use a high quality masking tape and a half paint thinner nearby to clean up.

The only problem was it must have been a little old and the back of the tube blew out but I had enough to do the job.

I used this to install window film as it is this standard, apparently.Although I’m admittedly a novice, it was difficult for me to apply without making quite a mess.Finished product looks sloppy.

This material is really great for my applications. I used it to bed a new hatch on my boat and also as a glue/sealant in a bathroom that I am renovating. Both applications worked very well. There was about 3 to 4 weeks between uses and the tube was not dried out as I expected. However, the material sets up in the application relatively quickly when exposed to air. I love it and will be purchasing more.

Guns too fast and initial adhesion was not what I had in mind.Other than that...it cures slowly but that is ok...even in cooler climates.

This stuff is amazing for strength. It is pretty much like other silicone but has a higher tensile strength- used in high rise glazing.Very hard to keep where you want it so taping off the surrounding areas is wise. It is really sticky and stringy so you don't want to use in high wind. Only draw back is shelf life- use it before it expires and don't keep old tubes.

A great adhesive and sealant - it is a bit think for a homeowner's caulking gun - so use a commercial one.

By far the best structural sealant accessible to Indian consumers. All the silicon sealants in the market are just gap sealing. Structural sealants are hard to come by
