It doesn't work on cookie dough. The bow part is only about 1/8 of an inch from the bottom of the cutter, so it cuts the dough in 3 pieces. If you roll the dough thicker, you can't get the bow or the top part of the hat out of the cutter because it is so small. The bow needs to make a little mark to show where to frost the bow not go so far down. I have never had a cookie cutter that worked so poorly.
