SKY DRX890 SKY+ HD BOX (Renewed)

Our 15 yr old non HD Sky Box gave up at the weekend. Sky wanted £65 call out fee but i figured it was the box. To be honest we dont watch much sky these days since we got an Apple Box and subbed to streaming services a few years ago. However its handy for a few programs that we like. So i did not want to spend out for a new box and this Sky +HD box seemed a good buy at just over £30 delivered. I was not that bothered if there was a bit of wear either as the box sits in a unit. However this used box looked brand new without a mark. It was well packed and in the box was a new HDMI lead and Power plug. You get some very well written set up instructions but for me it was a simple case of swapping over the 2 boxes. The only thing i had to change was setting the box from a dual LNB input to a single one. My sub card worked straight away. Total set up time 10 mins which inc sitting drinking tea whilst the box config itself. The only thing missing is a Sky remote but i already had a HD version a friend had given me. Overall very impressed for just over £30 much cheaper than calling out Sky or upgrading.

Was sceptical about purchasing but read the reviews and they convinced me. Came well packaged and the instructions were very easy to understand, they even tell you exactly what to say to Sky! I had everything installed within 10 minutes and if I had plugged the box in it would have been quicker!! If you are like me and questioned whether you would be able to do it yourself, you really can, thank you!!

Happy with this replacement sky box. Does the job, no issues.

My Sky + HD Box recently failed. The second input tuner had disappeared. No recording, no channel updates, loss of many Sky Channels. Sky no longer interested in repairs, so few choices other than a Sky Q box. This is great, no doubt, but is more expensive and only offers features I don't need. Chigwell Satellite to the rescue! Speedy delivery, a replacement box of a newer model in excellent condition. All fearures now worked immeciately when connected. The only intervention needed was to press "Select" to relink the Sky card. The box cost under £50. Thoroughly recommend this service. Chigwell Satellite, if you read this, can you extend my warranty, since I don't use Facebook!

The sky box looked in terrible condition. I returned by post on 18 April'20 and so far there is no news from supplier.

My Sky box stopped working so I ordered one of these. Switched it on and entered my Sky card to activate the regional stations which seemed to work. When watching ITV there’s constant flickering and sometimes no signal at all.

My old sky box died and and although I don’t have sky any more, I needed the box for the free sky channels we were watching, I was a bit nervous about buying a reconditioned box but it’s absolutely perfect, in fact it looks better than my old one. It was very reasonably priced, delivered within a few days and packaged very well. It worked straight away and my original sky remote works perfectly with it. All in all it was an excellent buy, very pleased and would highly recommend.

This is the second Sky+HD box I've bought from Chigwell Satellite. The first giving me nearly 5 years of faultless service until the hard drive failed. Probably because I do a lot of regular recordings. This box is exactly the same as the old one, and was just as easy to set up and pair my viewing card. I didn't even have to contact Sky. Richard in particular was very friendly and extremely helpful in diagnosing the hard drive failure on the old box. Dial the number, phone rings, someone answers. No menu's to navigate, no Sky Q hard sell just very helpful advice. And if Richard isn't available when you call, he calls you back. If this box fails after 5 years use, I'll buy another. I have no complaints with the service I have received from Chigwell Satellite.
