I bought some of these for me and some for my mum as I was so impressed with the ones I got for myself.They are made of thick, sturdy silicone which makes me sure they will last for a long time.When you first receive them they are the sides are quite stuck together, but once you separate the sides from each other, they stay unstuck. Give them a wash before use, and you are good to go!The first use or two, it does take a little more strength to put the bar across the top, but not as much as other people seem to have indicated (I'm not superwoman!) and they do 'relax' quickly, so don't let other reviews about this put you off. I'm surprised at how negative some people have been about this and it's just like when you buy many things new that need a little bit of use to wear them in, but it's not as though you need to be the Hulk to use them!So far my mum has made a massive batch of soup and another massive batch of stew and frozen them in these bags. They have proven themselves to be completely leak-free and easy to use, particularly as they can stand up when you are pouring the soup/stew into them.I would happily recommend these bags to anyone and will buy more in the future as I require them. They are a brilliant product.

These are very good quality and completely leak proof. They were very difficult to open at first but I’m noticing they get easier with use.. the material has stained but that might be because I’ve used them to store my leftover curry. Overall, I’m happy and will purchase more!

I was very impressed with these. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. We picked them as a cheaper alternative to some other ones, and were worried we'd regret it. No regrets! They will seem stuck closed when they arrive, but peel them apart, wash before use, and they're perfect. They stand up, they're very sturdy, and completely leak proof. We've used them for soups and tested them first with water, nothing leaked out. They're great for marinading, storing, lunches, and they're microwave safe. They don't give a strange plastic taste, and so far they've not stained with sauces either. And, no guilt over wasteful ziploc bags! We're really pleased.

These bags are very sturdy and leakproof, good quality. But I find them very stiff and they don’t hold as much food as I hoped. And the slide-on clip is very difficult to use. A shame.

Perfect product, does exactly what it says and is easy to clean. Clips are a bit difficult to put on/take off so if you have weak muscles (i.e. infirm or elderly) these may be difficult for you to open/close. However, this doesn't seem to be a design flaw, rather a normal aspect of the silicone surface. Do not microwave the clips as some others have done. The bags hold up well in the dishwasher, but I handwash the clips just in case.

Bought this item to reduce single use plastic in everyday duties and I absolutely love it! Very high quality product, easy to clean, spacious, you can pack your lunch, refrigerate food and much more! In overall, very happy with this product.

Really good product but the slider is a little difficult to position. Helps if wet the slider to position.

When I first got this, the sliding bar worked wonderfully, but now it seems to catch due to friction with the silicone. It becomes impossible to fully close it because it becomes harder and harder to slide. So now, I have some silicone pouches that can't really be closed. Not sure what use I can give them, which defeats the purpose of avoiding plastic waste.It seems the sliding bar concept is not a good idea (which I thought would be over normal pouches).
