Wondered why our alarm had started going off every time there was a power cut, or I had to turn off the fuses. Turns out the battery in the alarm was over 15 years old, really should keep track of these things.Anyway this is the same brand as the original and was a direct fit. Just turned off the alarm unscrewed the front of the main panel, swapped over the batteries, put the panel back on and switched the fuse back on.Took all of 5 mins and should last the quoted 5 years, think 15 was a bit of extreme luck.

Only just fitted it, so far so good. I did expect it to come in a box and it didn't have any terminal tag protection. Which does concern me.

Alarm company quoted my elderly neighbour £350 to replace this so I did it myself. Took 5 minutes if that to install. The one that had failed, same make and model, was 6 years old so fair play, it even lasted a year more than the manufacturer quotes.

I have an old veritas alarm system and the internal battery died in the main control panel. I thought due to the age of the system there was no way I would get a replacement and dreaded the thought of calling out some random alarm person who would see pound signs. Thanks to Amazon I got an exact replica for an amazing cheap price and my system is back up and running .
