She's a beast!
Played this model 12 years ago and it was out of my price range. Super happy with the money spent! This bass does everything I need. I have to say that, in my opinion, it is set up and constructed to work best for progressive, or prog metal but does SO MUCH MORE! I can get decades of R&B tone, rock stuff, fusion or modern jazz.I have played, but not owned a Rick 4001, Warwick thumb, p bass and Ken Smith 5 string jazz. This bass does a good deal of all that for less than half the price.Due to the thick maple and (some) walnut neck thru construction and the active preamp I can dial in a sound that gets in the ballpark of a Rick. Due to the thicker neck of the 5 string and active preamp I can get in the ballpark of a p bass. If I put flats and a mute one it, I can only imagine how much Jamerson motown I could pull off.Low B is amazing. gives me sweet tone up and down like the aforementioned boutique basses. In the wait after ordering I began to worry that my memory of the sound and the modest amount of reviews had me seeing stars. A non-issue.This bass plays like the super expensive high end basses I have played in the past! Huge value for the money! Can do everything I want!

Beautiful bass
This thing is everything it looks like and more when you get it. Beautiful wood. Amazing sound. Comes with really nice strings too. This is an awesome bass. Really phenomenol sound. It tends to be a little rattle-y but if you pluck more towards the lower pickup it won't be an issue at all.

Very nice for the money
This is a fine instrument for the money. Action is low and clean. Very playable for people with average-size hands. Tonal flexibility is decent. Upper registers play well and sound in tune. It has a middle-of-road sound, not Precision vs. Jazz extremes. Tuning gears are good quality and hold their settings very well. The instrument is attractive with an oil-like matte finish, very pretty.

Great Bass for the price you pay (even if you pay full price)
I had been out of the game since 1999 and I was looking to to get back in. I still had the trusty 4 string MIJ Fender but she had seen better days for sure. Also, the kind of music I was going to be playing (praise and worship music) really needed the 5 string. So my quest began! I had a budget of a bout $600 so I went about researching what I could get in a 5 string in that price range. I looked to a few friends for advise and i read all kinds of bass forums. For my price range Schecter looked like the right name. Now, I know what you're saying, this bass is not in the price range I was looking at. Correct, this bass usually runs you about $750 on Amazon and other retailers. So if you are in that range you will be better suited looking into the Stiletto Custom (I think) which is very similar to this bass other than the kneckthrough construction on the Studio model. I got really lucky with this bass, amazon warehouse had one on sale for $599 more or less because the shipping box was damaged. Having played this bass for about 2 months now I would have been happy even if I had paid the full $750 for it so you can imagine how ecstatic I am to have gotten it for the price I did. If you are looking for a mid level bass Schecter is a great brand to check out.

Beautiful lefty bass!
Beautiful! Probably a bit much for my first bass, but when I can't stop picking it up and playing it who can argue with the price!

My best bass
I own many basses ,and this is now the best sounding and all around bass that I own . It feels solid it is deep and powerful I play 4/5 days and nights a week 3 churches and play some nice basses but have not run into a bass that sounds so good and is reasonably priced, great job schecter , I own a schecter extreme stiletto also nice but this bass steals the show !

Love the action
Im in love with this bass, have been a fan of schecter for awhile yet hadnt purchased one. This would be my first and i absolutely love it, id say the only down fall with this bass would be the G string, which in my opinion is too close to the edge of the neck.
