Exact fit. Fast shipping. This was my first time installing one of these. The instructions included in the box have simple to read step by step instructions. Took less than 30 minutes.

G 3 boat steering cable

My old cable froze up and while I broke it loose I no longer trusted it. Anyway, pulled my old cable and got the codes on it which was a 1/2 size and the charts said to go up to next foot. However, I went ahead and measured my old cable and it was only 2" over so I ordered the next size down given they only come in foot increments and the fact my old cable fit tight. I would suggest measuring your old cable and then order accordingly based on how much extra room there is, instead of just using the code. Install was pretty easy since I tied a small rope on the old cable when I pulled it out. So just put the rope on the new cable and went right in. The cable was well constructed and already lubed so hoping it will see a long life. Happy Boating!

Installed easily ,top quality, works great

This product was a perfect fit using the part # on the previous cable. Apparently SeaStar acquired or replaced the OEM Terex, but this seems to be a quality product. For anyone attempting to install this product, be aware this is not an easy job unless you have plenty of clearance to remove the old cable and install the new one. This difficulty is no reflection on the part itself.

Worked well on Yamaha 115

The first one that I ordered per the Sea star measuring formula was too long. No fault of the seller. I came up with two foot longer as what I thought at the beginning. Got it and it fits perfectly! A happy boater!

The steering cable was an exact fit for my boat (after market setup).
