Supplements, Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols CardioAid®-S, 90 Softgels

My LDL lowered from 191 (mg/dL) to 151 in 3 months. I have also lowered the intake of saturated and trans fat at the same time, so I do not know how much this supplement contributed my HDL level but I feel it is effective. Since I have a pretty low triglyceride level, this supplement is more suitable for me than comprehensive supplements for cholesterol. Now I also take atorvastatin and the LDL level lowered to 92, but I continue to take this supplement, because these two work in different phases.The directions recommend taking 2 tablets twice a day, but I doubt if it is optimal. Because plant sterols are discharged very quickly, it sounds more reasonable to take a tablet right after every meal. In fact, the same supplement from a different manufacturer recommends so.

After I received lab tests that confirmed I had high cholesterol, I decided to give these supplements a try. I was hoping it would help lower my cholesterol, especially because I didn't want to use a statin. I’m honestly really happy with how well it worked. After taking it consistently for three months, my cholesterol numbers dropped more than I expected, which was a great surprise. These soft gels are easy to swallow, and I like that the formula combines plant sterols with fish oil. There is also no fishy aftertaste. I highly recommend giving these a try! FYI, if you buy the larger package, you can save 3 cents per pill.

I've tried several products and nothing worked like this one. It started working after the first day and just kept improving over several weeks. I went from one or two times a night going to the bathroom, to 7 - 8 hours of deep sleep.

I started taking these as part of a broader effort to improve my cholesterol, along with increasing my soluble fiber intake, and I do think they may be helping lower my LDL at least a little. It’s obviously hard to pin that on one product alone, but I’ve felt good about keeping these in the mix as part of that routine.The softgels are easy enough to take, and I like that the formula combines plant sterols with fish oil. Overall, I think this is a solid supplement if you’re already making other diet changes and want something to support those efforts.

Don’t know what impact it will have (just started) but seems to be a quality product (compared to a lot out there).

Great product

My cholesterol had finally crept over the threshold into the Statins zone, so my doc prescribed Statins. But I declined. After doing some research I landed on this product (Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols with CardioAid®-S Plant Sterol Esters). I started taking this supplement daily. I also increased my intake of oats, and started taking fish oil daily. Within 2 months, my cholesterol dropped 20 points – back down to the normal range. My LDL likewise went down, and my HDL increased. Needless to say, I was shocked!

I take the prescription medication Tamsulosin, but I still have problems urinating. I searched the web for the best rated OTC supplement for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia. Beta-Sitosterol got very good reviews. So, I ordered a bottle. The product worked OK, and the pills were easy to swallow. However, it did not work as well for me as a competing product to supplement Tamsulosin.

It works if you take it correctly and for 3-6 months at least. Also you need to make lifestyle changes to reduce cholesterol.I took 2 capsules after lunch and dinner daily. It's soft gel so easy to swallow. No acidity or any adverse side effects observed.I stopped now because results achieved and now only lifestyle changes will keep the recommended levels.
