It's really good
I really like this coffee. I like a light/medium roast and Winks nailed it. It doesn't taste burnt or ashy (if that makes sense) and the price is decent. We tried a different brand recently and the wife did not approve since she been spoiled on Winks coffee. We've been drinking Winks coffee for about three years now and have never been disappointed.

Not over-burnt Starbucks beans
Update 10/21/2021: Not sure what changed, but on the last order the beans are a bit oilier and darker than that past. Oily beans are not good for conical grinders so I'm hoping this is just a fluke. It seems to taste okay, again not like the over-burnt Starbucks beans. I have these on subscription and if it doesn't change, I'll be look for some new beans, pun intended. Original Review Been looking for a good quality bean for a while that sells in larger sizes that won't break the bank. I've had to settle for the Kirkland/Starbucks bean sold at Costco mostly because of the size and convenience. I was just not keen on going to buy coffee every week. I love the Trader Joe's Espresso blend quite a bit. It had great balance and wasn't roasted to a crisp like the Kirkland stuff (seriously, look at how many broken beans there are in the Kirkland bag). Of course Trader Joe's is sold in 8oz. bags. I'd have to buy 4 to get the same amount of means at close to $40. Took a chance and tried this Wink Coffee been. 2.2lb is perfect for me and the price at around $16 is awesome, not as cheap as Kirkland's, but good enough. And the coffee? As good or a bit better than the Trader Joe's stuff. Well balanced with lots of intense flavors and notes without being over-burnt. Coffee snobs will probably scoff and this. But this has been producing very satisfying espresso from my Breville XL870. I did have to dial back the coarseness of the grind just a tad, but once I found it, the pull was such a beautiful caramel brown from beginning to end. I didn't get that with the Kirkland beans; more like black to brown to light brown. If you like Starbucks espresso, Kirkland is fine. But ever since meeting a barista friend a couple of years and going down the rabbit whole of good coffee, it just won't do anymore.

My new everyday espresso bean
I have been using a popular Italian super crema bean in my DeLonghi machine for about ten years because of the ratings and the price. I decided to order this Wink Super Crema to give it a try and I'm happy that I did. My first double shot (picture provided) with this bean turned out wonderful. Dark, rich, earthy and a little nutty. It was very pleasing. The crema was nice and it was beautiful to watch pouring out if my espresso machine. I like how the package the beans come in is easily resealable. Because I only fill a portion of the hopper in my grinder at a time. This is a great value brand for everyday espresso. The reason that I didn't give it a full gamut of 5 stars is that the flavor didn't surprise me or blow me away with uniqueness. This bean excells in everyday comfort and drinkability I will continue to order this as my new bean

Outstanding in the percolator!
Terrific coffee! One of my favorite times of the day is first thing in the AM when I plug in my percolator that I have ready-to-go the night before. Trying Wink’s Super Crema has been a pleasure, delicious taste, delicious smell. Couldn’t say more good about it - highly recommend!

Not as good as LaVazza Super Crema
We bought this to try in our new Philips expresso machine. We also bought LaVazza Super Crema. This coffee is definitely more acidic and less smooth than the LaVazza. We prefer a smoother taste, so we won’t be ordering again. That being said - this coffee isn’t bad, just not our favorite. We drank the whole bag, but are excited to open our next bag of LaVazza tomorrow. The beans are not greasy at all, for those of you considering for your super automatic machine. The resealable bag is also a nice touch! Worth trying as it is cheaper and if you like a bit of acidity to your cuppa, give it a shot.

Crema for DAYS!
Let me start by saying my time testing "Espresso" beans has been about a little over a year now. Previously I was either drinking Starbucks Americano's (Venti w/ 4 shots) or drinking Doi Chaang Single Estate Medium coffee. I'm not too big a fan of overly bitter coffees (yes, I know often it's how long you steep the beans for and other factors), so most of the time when I purchase beans on Amazon, I am looking for something similar to the Starbucks Americano (not that this is the best or anything, just my current bar). I have actually tried using the same beans as Starbucks for their Americano's but can't quite get it tasting the same (probably because they have a multi-thousand dollar machine). That being said, i've tried a few now through the Amazon shuffle. Background on my method, I use the Delonghi Dinamica which grinds, steeps, and pours all-in-one. I have dialed this beast in to my liking after quite a bit of time and lots of sleepless, caffeine driven nights. I have a separate burr grinder but the machine can dial in, so no need to be too precise. This brand of Espresso beans had the BEST crema out of several different options (Starbucks Espresso, Lavazza Grand Crema, Alma Coffee Espresso, and others). There is a pretty nice, thick layer of crema that stays around for a bit after the pour as opposed to others where the froth dissipates after a few minutes. The taste is very smooth (after dialing it in) and not overly bitter, not quite like Starbucks but close. Caffeine wise, I set my machine to medium strength (default) and it gives a pretty good kick in the morning, perfect to get my day started.

Super crema not so super.
Very disappointed. I usually purchase blonde roast but it was not available and it said it wasn't clear when it would become available again. I thought this might be a substitute for it rather than an espresso blend. I buy their espresso when I want that I do not care for this. It is bitter and caused me indigestion what you would expect a low acid blend not to. I will wait for the blond roast and until then we'll have to buy my beans elsewhere.

Love This Coffee!
I've been using Wink for a couple of years now and thought I should finally write a review. When I tried Wink I was on the lookout for a replacement since my other brand had been discontinued. I tried Wink, along with a bunch of other brands, and finally decided to stick with Wink for a lot of reasons. I'm on the subscribe & save and it comes every month like clockwork, so I never have to worry about it being on backorder (probably because they roast in small batches). Every month it's fresh and it's the best tasting (not bitter at all). I have a fancy espresso machine, so I need whole beans that aren't oily. This, too, fit the bill. I love the smell when it's dripping into the espresso cup. I was also looking for a fair trade brand = check! Overall, I couldn't be happier, and I need happy first thing in the morning. Ha! If you're looking for a good brand with great tasting coffee, give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
