One star knocked off overall rating because calibration does not start at the end meaning I now have to grind the ends down. Otherwise an excellent product.

Excellent ruler set with very clear markings. I used it in a heavy industrial environment and its is great. One minor point is the ruler's edges do not actual commence at 0.0mm. This dead area protects the end of the ruler but means you have to be careful if you use it as a depth gauge or similar. To do so would create a small error. No big deal for most though.Recommended

Hard to fault these. Precise measurements, easy to read and very sturdy with no flex.Hard to fault, but not impossible - over packagaing is a genuine issue, with each ruler being packed in 5 layers of packaging from Amazon delivery box down to individual plastic sleeve. Not necessary.

A set of sturdy metal rulers at 12" and 6", with protective sleees and carry bag. Well made, and with useful conversions on the reverse. Not sure why other reviewers were questioning the marker points not starting at the end, my plastic one is exactly the same. I do not think I have a ruler which does start at the end. Ends can get damaged then making the ruler less useful. Very happy with my purchase.

The white on black makes this easy to ready, however the only issue I have is the scale starts around 4mm in from the edge so this makes it impossible to measure whilst butting up against an item. Apart from that small point nice rule.

Bought these metal rulers to get accurate measurements by placing the end on an object (wall, skirting, pipe, etc.) and reading off the scale. BUT, the end of the ruler is not "0.0" - the "0.0" datum on the scale is some 2-3mm from the end of the ruler. This makes it incompatible for my intended use, so they have been sent back for a refund I did like the black coating though, as that did not reflect the light when using a head-torch.

This ruler is very clear with silver text on a Matt black background and smooth edges. One point worth noting is that the scale doesn’t start at the ruler edge- see photo.It also came with a felt pocket that will be useful to store the rules.The scale is printing on one side, with conversion tables on the other side.

The laser detail etching isn't as bright as the picture suggested - a 'golden' rather than 'white steel' display, but otherwise excellent.
