I was surprised by how nicely this was put together. The hat is very authentic, as is the outfit. It fits well and is comfortable. The quality is nicer than I expected. There are no parts to worry about coming undone, as it is all one piece. A secure and fun outfit.

Beautiful pilgrim costume! Purchased for Thanksgiving but would also be cute for Halloween. Fits over the head with a small velcro closure at the neckline. The apron and collar are attached to the dress. The only thing separate from the costume is the bonnet. I suggest you size up one size from the size you normally wear (as is true with most costumes). Washing instructions are spot clean only. Wish it was washable but otherwise it's perfect.

I think you’re getting what you’re paying for. Don’t expect wonders, because the fabric is very cheap and looks cheaply made, but I think it looked great as my Halloween costume. Be careful because you’re not supposed to machine dry it. I bought and XL because I didn’t wanted it to fit too tight, I normally wear a size L, and I think the body part is almost too tight for an XL, though the sleeves were more roomy. I thought it was very comfortable and could dance all night in it.

This was good to wear for Thanksgiving and I wore it when a rang the bell for salvation army the day before Thanksgiving.

Okay. I realize this is a relatively inexpensive product, but for heavens sake, why can't they sew the seam on the apron straight? I've received two of these costumes with a noticeably very crooked apron seam. This sits directly in the front...elsewhere and I probably wouldn't mind so much.Aside from that, keep in mind this costume (and many costumes in general) does run on the smaller side. I typically wear a 6/8, but ordered this both in a medium and large to compare the fit. The large fit me better with the sleeves hitting my wrist at a good length, as well as being comfortable in the bodice. This costume looks pretty nice on. The apron is stitched to the skirt, but I didn't see that as a negative. In fact, it looked quite nice with it's lace trimmed edges and has a good swing to it. The material is synthetic, but not hard or scratchy.If you are a larger gal, the large probably won't be large enough. As I mentioned, these do run a bit small. The medium fit okay too, is slightly less roomy in the chest and a tad shorter in the arms, but the fit too was negligible. The biggest difference I noted, was the medium being more snug when pulling it over my head, as you will need to do to put this on. There are no buttons in the back, but a small strip of velcro where it closes at the nape of the neck. The bonnet looks quite nice with just the right amount of fabric to cover the sides of the face and fold over design. It has a ribbon tie at the chin. The one thing I would add to this costume (which would be very easy to do) is to attach a wider, longer black satin bow at the front neck area for a bit more flair. Other than the stitching issues, it's quite pretty on, is figure flattering and fit better than another women's Pilgrim costume I reviewed here.

As a primary grade teacher, I wanted a costume that was affordable, comfortable enough to wear for a full day of teaching, and fit in with our grade’s Thanksgiving feast. This fits the bill! Though of course not historically accurate, everyone who saw it knew what I was supposed to be. I got many compliments! Sleeves and skirt length were long enough for my 5 foot 8 inch frame. The hat fit well (unlike some reviews for other pilgrim costumes). It held up to a full day of Thanksgiving activities and looks good as new. Glad I purchased this and would buy it again.

The costume fits a little small so I recommend getting a size larger than you normally would. That's what I did and it was perfect.
