Nice bus for the little climbers
It's a sturdy bus. We bought it for our 1 year old, but my 3 year old plays on it as well. The slide is a little short for the 3 year. He mainly climbs up it. The 1 year old seems to go down fine on his own. It's a steep short drop. It took him a few tries with some help before he could go down on this own. You can get it the bus 3 different ways:1. Side of the bus2. Front of the bus3. Climb up the slide.I'm not worried about it tipping over because it's pretty wide and sturdy. My 1 year old can reach the steering wheel while sitting down and he's as happy as can be "driving" it. The horn does make a squeak when you push on it. There's also a key for you to turn and it make a clicking sound. Other than the horn and the key, this does not make any sounds! I don't mind that it does not have any working lights or music.I was a little hesitant on purchasing this item because of all the bad reviews about putting it together. This by no mean a 15 min project. It probably took me an hour by myself. It wasn't too difficult. Definitely need a drill to put in all the screws, hence the sturdiness. You should have a rubber mallet handy. If you don't have one, buy a cheap $5 one. You'll thank me later. I did have to use it a few times to get the pieces in place. If it wasn't for all the screws and stickers, this probably would had been a 30-45 min project.

Our toddler loves it! Power screwdriver a necessity!
This is a great toy for the price. We gave it to our 18 month old for Christmas and he loves it. He uses the slide, acts like he's driving, climbs all over it, etc. It is a bit of a bugger to put together as there are a number of long screws. It would have been much easier if my power screwdriver was charged ahead of time, which is obviously my mistake. As long as you have a strong power screwdriver, assembly is not too bad. Not all holes are pre-drilled so it takes some minor skill to get it together correctly, but once put together, it is as solid as a plastic object can be. There are not too many pieces and the decals just stick on. It took me well over an hour to screw everything by hand, but it probably could be done in a fraction of the time with properly charged equipment. It is pretty large so make sure you have plenty of space for it. It will fill a room. Very solid toy though.

Fun bus. Difficult assembly. Slide needs improvement
My two year old loves buses and he loves to slide so I thought this would be a fun toy. Like other reviewers i thought the assembly was a pain..not so much difficult was just time consuming. Unfortunately we had to screw all some twenty plus screws in by hand into mostly non-predrilled plastic. My husbands wrists gave out after the first dozen or so screws...so I helped from there. The upshot is four hours later and double blisters on my hand we now have the bus assembled. I would recommend that you use a power drill to assemble ..but it seems over the top to have to bring out the special tools just to assemble a toy. little tykes should at least predrill holes and better yet sell the item at least partially assembled. I like the little tykes toys and would buy more if they were not so much work to put together. overall, the item is fun for my two year old but the slide is a complete failure..because there is a lip at the bottom of the slide the kids feet hit that first and it stops all the sliding action.

Best Present Ever!
Santa brought this for my 2-year-old and 8-month-old to share. Well, it was half an hour before we could get the toddler to open any presents because he was too busy with his bus (which Santa left, assembled, in front of the tree). The slide is just tall enough that it's fun for him to slide down. It has a steering wheel with horn, ignition key, shifter, and a stop sign to push out on the side. There is plenty of space for a toddler driver and a second passenger on the upper (green) bench, or two could probably squeeze side-by-side if they squished. It's open in the front, so my toddler also figured out he could slide under and play mechanic. The slide makes a great escape hatch for toys. It's compact enough to keep in the house. We've had it 24 hours and it's been a bus, Santa's sleigh, and ice cream truck, a tow truck, a fire engine... Completely awesome toy.[The elves did mention it takes some effort to put together. Usually, our family's head elf is really good at assembling these sorts of things and even enjoys the challenge - for this one she actually needed to call in a helper elf and pull out the power drill as suggested. That's really rare. It's not especially hard to assemble, it just takes more muscle than most to drive in the giant screws.]

Good Toy
Bought this for my 15month old boy. It's just the right stage for him. I was a little hesitant from all the reviews stating how horrible it was to put together. My husband put it together in a little over an hour. It has a bunch of screws so a cordless drill is pretty much a must but other than that it wasn't too bad. He did say that the directions were off but that it wasn't too hard to figure out on his own. Bottom line, is that it wasn't nearly as bad to put together as what a lot of reviews said - though.. my husband is pretty handy so if you aren't handy I guess it would be harder. Other than that, its very sturdy and cute. Fun for the boy. I'm giving it 4stars for the fact that I think its overpriced at around $100.

Big hit with the kids!
My husband and I took about 35 minutes to put this together. Nothing was difficult and we didn't even have to "soap" the slide as the directions suggested. One plastic side piece was bowed out and we had to squeeze a little extra to make it reach but once screwed in it was fine. My husband commented several times about how many screws we used and that it was very sturdy. Our box even came with a few extra screws (I counted before we started). My 23 month old was so excited to see this after nap time today. He's been on it for an hour already and not getting bored at all. He likes to drive and use all the driver pieces (wheel, horn, key and shifter) and reach over the side to move the stop sign around. Then he goes down the slide and starts over. He hasn't played with the spinning wheels yet but he knows they are there.

Excellent product!
Exactly as shown. Takes some time to put together and One panel was slightly warped, but doesnt affect the product at all.

Highly successful "bus" toy.
We bought this for our grandson's 1st birthday a few weeks ago. Whilst my husband found it easy to put together, it was quite time-consuming but, having done so, it was well worth the time spent as our grandson simply loves to play on it and in it. My daughter tells me she can hardly get him out of it - he tries to climb UP the slide and loves to "peep" the horn on request. The bus in the the house at the moment but will no doubt go into the garden once the weather is warm enough for him to play outside. Thoroughly recommend this - Gabriel just can't get enough of it.

This slide is amazing and perfect for my 2 year old twins
This slide is amazing and perfect for my 2 year old twins! It's perfect for rainy days when they can't go out to play! It's not too big and it has both a bus and a slide which my twins love! It does require to be set-up so prepare to roll up your sleeves! I'm not handy man myself but I was able to put this together in a couple of hours. Better to have the drill to make set-up faster!

I don't know why anyone would say it was easy. It is together now yes and took two ...
Very cute and well used. However, VERY difficult to put together. I don't know why anyone would say it was easy. It is together now yes and took two school custodians an hour to do it and many modification--it is held by screws but did not snap together very well, you can see gaps and some of the plastic panels got bent forcing it into place. Also I requested Amazon ship to my school/work and it was sent to my house. Step 2 products climbers are much easier to build, I've done them myself.
