Great product to use at home. Makes life a lot easier and less expensive.

I had a kitchen full of guests and it was quite the spectacle watching me use it for the first time. But seriously it is fantastic and so much fun to use for watermelons and cantaloupes. I'm sure it would work with other melons. I just haven't bought any other melons yet. I recommend getting on a stool so you can get some height to use your shoulders to push down and also get a good slice on each end so it'll go through easily. It is nice and sharp and I don't find it very messy. I do it on the cutting board. It looks very durable and I think it's going to last quite a while. The material is plastic and metal. I think it's a good value for the money for the sheer fun of it.

Tried the slicer on a large seedless watermelon....FANTASTIC!!! It did the job just as it is pictured in ad. I'd does take a little trial and error. I cut a little off of the top and bottom of the watermelon to create flat spots for stability, centered the slicer and began to press down. I found it easier to use my forearms on the handles, apply my weight and rock side to side to get it started. After that, you can push it right on through to the bottom! Perfect wedges you can cut up to your liking and store. It is also incredibly well made with sharp blades! Cut my time by 75%. Well worth the money. This summer is going to be a breeze!!!

alot less messier than using a knife but It took alot of my manpower to use it.

It works great. I did have to shimmy it a little to get it to go down instead of just straight pressure but it was still easy to use. Just plan ahead because it opens the watermelon like a flower so make sure there's plenty of counter space around it. I cut the slices in half to make them short and they came out perfect! Everyone loved the size of the slices. This saved a lot of time and mess.

Love it. Have never used 1 before so there is a learning curve since there are no directions.. basically cut the ends of the watermelon off with a large knife, then use thus by pressing down on fresh cut end, it glides right thru, very sharp

The product is flimsy. The slicing steel blades started bending from first watermelon, resulting in some very thin and some very fat slices. On third melon, two blades joint from central ring broke, and now the product is useless.

This item is great, cuts nice size melon pieces making it easier to remove rinds or leave on. I like the center hole it makes with watermelon, I cut them into little discs. For canteloupe and other melons, it makes seeding them really easy.
