Peugeot Chatel Walnut Pepper Mill, 8-Inch (28879)

It’s understandable that the wood would vary from the stock image, but it was surprising to see how far off the actual item was. It varies so much that it almost appears to be a completely different species of wood. The top and bottom pieces of the item received we’re not consistent in color or grain pattern. Considering the price, and considering quality standards that Peogeut claims, it was surprising to have received the item being so far off in appearance.

Ordered the pepper mill in walnut, and it was delivered with a tag that said walnut, but it was clearly cherry (the other option). Product also arrived in a plastic bag, apart in all separate pieces, and bits of peppercorns floating around in the bag. I was able to reassemble, but the mechanism was wobbly and certainly not expected for something of this price point. The matching salt mill was delivered in better condition, but same off-color wood and shoddy mechanics. Returned product.

I ordered this particular product based on another one I had purchased years ago from a different seller.I am Prime and ordered it well before the Christmas however it finally got to me 3 days after the fact. When I opened it to grab the return information the entire inside of the box was covered in PEPPER and had no return or contact information on the inside. The grinder was clearly used.Furthermore, I could not get Amazon to issue a pick up receipt for whatever reason.I finally sent it back to the fulfillment center (the only address I could find) and they said they were refusing it and MAILING it back - that was 3 weeks ago. Still no box, no credit. HUGE HASSLE for a pepper mill.

I was so happy to finally splurge on a Peugeot pepper grinder. I was so disappointed to find that it barely worked. My generic wooden pepper grinder from goodwill worked better.

It doesn't function like other Peugeot Mill's. Very very disappointed and would not recommend to others. I have owned them for years and this one fails by comparison.

Very poor grinder and hard to use. Very disappointed with it as expensive and came with all the hype of a Peugeot classic mechanism. Hard to believe it's as pathetic as it is. Putting it down to experience. I'll stick to TK Maxx options next time

Wir haben einiges in diesem Holz, vom Schneidebrett über Messer bis hin zu Messerleisten, daher wollte ich gerne auch die Pfefferstreuer passend. So, wie sie abgebildet sind, wären sie super, aber so sehen sie nicht aus. Wenn man eine Mühle einzeln betrachtet, passt farblich schon das Oberteil nicht zum Unterteil. Zudem ist die Farbe insgesamt viel heller, die eine Mühle wirkt sogar gräulich, habe es mir lange angesehen, um zu entscheiden, ob ich mich daran gewöhne. Definitiv nicht. Sehr schade! :-( Die Funktion wird sicherlich gut sein, so wie von Peugeot bekannt. Ich bewerte hier nur die Optik, nach welcher man in der Anzahl der Mühlen, welche es gibt, mit entscheidet.
