A pain to seat. Worth the hassle.
2004 Mini R53:This PRW was a challenge in order to seat properly and flush in line with the corresponding belt tensioner and associated pulleys. I was finally able to install the PRW pulley all the way back on the crankshaft end by initially using a m12 x100mm bolt and subsequently a m12 x 90mm bolt and several large washers stacked incrementally, then by reducing the number of washers during the process of installing either of the aforementioned bolts with an18V impact driver a little at a time. I was then able to install a new m12 75mm crankshaft bolt and drive the pulley fully home.A bit heavier than stock (not by much) but spins super smooth without noise, wobble or belt deviation.I am confident this PRW fluid balanced pulley will out last 10 of the OEM pulleys and will never fail within the car's near life time.

Great Replacement Balancer !
Correct replacement for the orginial bad designed M/C oem! Mini-mod U-tube great video procedure but quoted wrong bolt sizes 6mmx1.0mm thread pitch x30mm in harden 8.8 to10.9 bolts work & reinstalling need 12mm x1.50mm coarse threaded x100mm length to reinstalled then use factory bolt to pull it on in & make sure to use lock tight on that factory harmonic boltAlso check your torque specs on the harmonic bolt I saw different specs stated from others but min.85lbs to 113lbs torque on harmonic bolt just saying ! Just a few issues I had ran into but yes this new balancer works well so far and seems to be a great replacement for a bad BMW/Mini Design ! Good Luck with Yours !

Nice replacement for the stock pulley/harmonic balancer
After 120,000 mikes the stock rubber backed pulley on my '06 R53 MINI Cooper S was beginning to fail. This was a much more affordable option and happy with the performance since the replacement. Please follow the manufacturers instructions for pre-heating the pulley in the oven before installation. I did and the pulley just slid right on with no problem. Tried it cold as seen in some YouTube videos and it wasn't pressing on at all.

Good alternative to OEM
Replacing cylinder head so I did this preventively. Engine seems to run smoother. Note: I left it in the oven for 30 min at 275 degree F. Nearly slid on and seated to the shaft. I tested before, when cold, it's definitely an interference fit.Edit: it's been 3-4k miles since install. Still runs like it should. Haven't seen any wobble from day 1. When Installed it I also replaced the tensioner shock. If the tensioner shock fails it can appear as if the damper is out of round, so I wonder if that contributed to other reviews citing wobble.

9 years and I'm happy
Purchased on Amazon in 2012 and my car has 204,000 miles at this point, so very satisfied. Just looked it up on my past purchases to see if I could find what the 3 bolt holes on it are sized at since I want to replace the seal behind the damper.

This is for the Cooper S, not the Cooper
It's a good part, but be warned, this part (part number 2510900) is ONLY for the first-generation Cooper S, it is NOT for non-S models. I ordered this for my Cooper, and thank god I carefully looked at the installation instructions before I attempted installation. The cranks for the S and non-S are different. The part numbers for the non-S Cooper are 2510901 (8.7% under drive) and 2510902 for standard drive. I returned this one (which as a breeze) and ordered the under-driven one to free up a bit of horsepower and improve throttle response in my R50, as well as make the engine run a bit smoother. Gave one star just to alert people and hopefully prevent them from making the same mistake I did.

Decent value
Machining on my bore was iffy, dirty and rough, required significant clean up.Torque value on instructions is vehicle specific but is wrong, check torque values on line before installation.Speaking of instructions, heating in oven did nothing, had to heat in water for twice the time suggested in instructions and even then only marginal expansion. You MUST clean crankshaft threads, use hardened bolt with bearing/lubed washers, and anti seize to install.Amazon does terrible job of packing, inspect closely for damage.Didn't notice significant smoothing of engine but maybe slightly enhanced flywheel effect between shifts, for better or worse. Hopefully doesn't need replacing any time soon compared to OEM. '04 Cooper S

PRW pulley better than OEM
Bought the pulley to replace the one on the MCS. We don't know how many miles the one on the car had, but it was starting to fail. The PRW pulley installed easily and following ModMini's excellent video, we got the old pulley off and the new one on in no time.No wobble, no funny noises and the engine runs smooth(er). No more lateral play and ticking noises as the old pulley made contact with the timing case cover.
