I bought this for my Maine Coon. He likes the stiffness of the brush. And it helps with his coat. My finer haired Egyptian Mau also likes the brush for her coat as well. The brush is firm without being so hard that it hurts. The bristles are good and sturdy not flimsy. No unusual smells to the brush. I especially like the handle. It has a good sturdy feeling to it. It is comfortable to hold and very durable. I won’t say that it’s ergonomically designed. But it’s easy to handle because it is small and fits in the palm of your hand if you have a big hand; easy to grip. So far it’s been easy to clean with my fingers, but to be on the safe side, I also use a comb to get in between the bristles. It is definitely very portable. You can stick it in a purse, or a backpack, even keep it in your glove box or in that little compartment between the front seats, it’s that small. Overall, good value for the money. Would definitely recommend it for both men with thick or wiry beards and mustaches, as well as for small pets.

For the dudes complaining about the size, it seems like y’all should have a personal understanding that small things can still get the job done…. I have an incredibly dense, full coverage beard that grows very, very fast. I have tried everything I can think of to try and manage some of my fly aways; oils, butters, balms, creams, even daily bonsai-shaping-level trimmings. And while I’ve found a system that works for me, it still wasn’t quite perfect. UNTIL this lil thing. Don’t get me wrong, at first I was not impressed. While the brush feels good in the hand, it’s obviously very straight forward and easy to use, it didn’t really seem like it could perform well. Even with the long, super dense bristles. But sure enough. This lil guy laid my beard down quicker those Moses parted that sea. I was genuinely floored. I’ve had the brush for a few days now and my beard has never been so tame and proper. This product is actually capable of going beyond just the surface layer of my beard, and gets the “under coat” (idk what it’s called) of my beard. Which I think is what was throwing off those random strays that kept running from its assigned seat. I have tried dozens of brushes, combs, even picks. This thing is truly the best of them all. And for less than $20, it’s actually an incredible value compared to the literally $80 brushes I have that can not remotely compare. Plus I accidentally drop kicked this thing across my bathroom and into a tiled wall, not a single scratch or dent. He’s little but he’s durable as any other brush I’ve owned. I genuinely do not think I’ll be purchasing any other brand for the foreseeable future, this brush is incredible.

This brush is really good! It's small enough to carry in a jacket pocket or small bag. My beard is curly and it goes through it with ease no pulling. I highly recommend it! It's also quality made.

strong bristles

I've had different length beards for over 10 years now and never looked into a quality brush until now. The ZilberHaar brush is perfect for medium-long beards and I never thought a brush could solve my beard dandruff issue, but I was wrong. I haven't had any dandruff since the first use and it keeps my beard nice and tidy for hours on end. I was surprised at how small it was, but like other reviews, it ends up being perfect for the mustache area. I purchased the stiff bristle, which works great for my coarse thick beard. It's still soft enough to not hurt your face or skin, but strong enough to not get caught and glides through with ease. The handle is really nice wood and easy to hold. All in all, the brush is a quality product and would highly recommend this to anyone on the fence with other brands! You can't beat the price, cheaper than beard brushes found at discount places like TJ Maxx.

This little brush is the best of all the beard brushes I’ve used. Key Points: 1) It’s small. I noticed reviewers complain about this but just read the description. This is for your beard, not King Kong’s back. It’s the perfect size for a beard of average size. 2) The bristles are uneven for a reason. In order to exfoliate the skin, this is important. Too many beard brushes neglect this. Sure you want to spread the beard oil and sebum but healthy skin promotes healthy beard hair. 3) It is made of first cut boars hair meaning it’s very firm. Don’t brush your beard for too long and don’t apply a lot of pressure when brushing. Firm hair is needed to get underneath the beard to your skin. 4) The bristles are boar’s hair, not plastic. If you burn them, it will smell like burnt hair, not burnt plastic. 5) If used properly, this will give you healthy beard hair which, in turn, will make your beard very soft. 6) Thier customer service is second to none. If you have an issue, they will help you out. I can’t recommend this tool more highly. It is well built and made to last. In fact, if you sign up for their emails, they will extend the warranty for 20 years. If I. Had to be picky and have a complaint, the pear wood (the handle) has a matte finish and it would look nicer, in my opinion, if it had a glossy finish. However, that is minor and purely cosmetic and does nothing to affect the functionality of the brush. This product may be the best beard grooming tool in my arsenal. It’s between this and my Zeus horn comb but each serves a different purpose for me. Great job, ZilberHaar!

Nice small brush with stiff bristles! Perhaps a bit smaller than I expected so pay attention to the pictures. The bristles are a bit hard on the skin if you have a shorter beard but for the longer hair it works well. Overall a very good beard brush!

This is really an amazing product that any man considering having a beard of any type or length should have in their toolkit. First lot, it is small and compact enough to make it easy to carry on your trips not taking space. The quality of material in wood and boar bristles is top notch. Note that the bristles are on the tough side and for me this is great as I wanted something compact enough like this enough but if sufficient bristle hardness to help straighten my curly beard.

Pros: 1. Size is very handy and perfect. 2. Original boar bristle brush as the seller declared. At first you will feel it hard if you’re first time using any boar bristle brush. Once you will how to use the brush ad per your comfort, you’ find it very comfortable. Due to it’s boar bristles my skin is much exfoliated now than before and no deadskin/dandruff under the dense areas. 3. With beard oil it gives awesome hold to your stray hairs and give you a mascular bearded look. 4. Due to it’s uniform space between the bristles it’s very easy to clean with a help of any blower. Cons: 1. At first you may get a weird smell from the bristles as they are original plucked boar bristles (you can even see the follicles). But after one month of usage with beard oils the smell will fade away.
