This is a great product. But it's way to expensive for what it is and the shipping cost was pretty outrageous compared to what I'm used to paying.

I have been a pilates instructor for nearly 15 years and have never been without an arc or spine corrector of some sort. But when I moved to an island I couldn’t fit it in my luggage. I went without this thing for the last 5 years but recently saw that Amazon was offering prime shipping to my island and ordered it immediately. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing and can’t believe I went without it for so long. I’m on it pretty much every day now that it arrived and put a good 70% of my clients on it and they love it as well! It’s not for everyone, but for the bodies that benefit from it, it’s a gem! If you have decent spinal mobility you’ll probably love it. I do add a pad to it for most people because it can be pretty hard depending on how you’re using it. But I love the light weight, the way it fits perfectly on the reformer and the fact I can hang it on the wall or separate the two parts to store it. It was also packaged brilliantly and arrive undamaged which is impressive considering how rough my post office is with pretty much anything. I was half expecting it to be dented or damaged on arrival, the box arrived all banged and cut up but the arc inside was perfect!

Very light and can be used in many ways. I bought the Mini-Mat as well. If you don't have a step barrel, this is an easy way to fill that gap. Comes with a mildly useful DVD and there are a couple of workouts on PilatesAnytime that include the Pilates Arc. I like that it can be used on my Balanced Body reformer, fitting over the shoulder rests in multiple 'settings'. I suspect the shipping cost is one of the strongest benefits of this product vs. the traditional step barrel. I am curious about the actual costs of making the product (which appears to be just a study form of styrofoam) since the cost seems fairly high to me - with shipping it is at least as much as some of the step barrels I saw available online.
