NAAZ Wood Arts® Wood Yarn Holder + Crochet Hook with Wooden Yarn Holder, Wooden Rolling Holder Twirling Mechanism (7" H x 4" W)

Umpteen years ago I had a carpenter friend make me a yarn holder. No one thought back in those 1960's to put a turntable on a hunk of wood with a stick stuck in the middle, but even made as he had, it was awesome to have a yarn holder and something that let the yarn go in circles. But, now...this little turntable with the capacity to turn is a great help. The 'post' could have been longer, but it's girth is workable and it works. I've had a habit of saving paper towel cardboard centers and using them for left over yarn holders. Now I can continue using them on this little gem that twirls without them jumping all over the floor! Thank you person who created this little gem!

I previously purchased a very nice (much more expensive) twirling yarn holder for cakes off Etsy. It's very nice, and I do as much as I can to support small businesses like that, but I'm started working on a blanket. For this blanket, I was using 2 colors of nice wool/silk yarn that had to be wound into cakes. I took the top part off the twirler for the small cakes. Then something came up, I put that to the side, and quickly started working on an acrylic couch throw using Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn, which comes in longish skeins. To avoid yarn barf, I like to pull the yarn from the outside, not inside, of a skein or cake. I put the top part of the yarn holder back on, dug a little hole with my finger inside the skein, and stuck it on. Y'all, THIS IS A GAME CHANGER! No more flopping yarn skeins. This twirler is so smooth, the skein stays put and doesn't fall off. This twirler is good for small cakes as well as longer skeins of yarn, and at such a great price, it's an absolute MUST investment for yarnies!

This is the perfect size for spools of yarn - and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I wish the spindle pin was metal, but for the price I paid it was OK.

Great size stable easy to use. Top spindle sits on a smaller wooden dowel. Not varnished but all natural wood and works well with faux fur, lily Sugar and Cream or Aunt Lydias cotton thread.

I love this little yarn holder! Its stabile and spins well, its base has enough weight that it stays upright, its easy to use and keeps my yarn from rolling off onto the floor. The wood also has a smooth, polished finish. Very happy 😊

I te River this yesterday snd immediately transferred my crochet project onto this spindle. It well made.The isdue thst prevents a 5-star review is that the spindle is light-weight. The Baer’s requires additional weight to hold the spindle in place on a table etc. otherwise, the spindle slides around the surface and toppled over. This dorks against the entire readon todedign this product. I’m thinking of gluing a heavy terracotta pot to the base of the doinfle. However, I shouldn’t need to go this. It is a design flaw….but I will try.

I was very disappointed when I received the two yarn holders I ordered. The shipping box was smashed up (the mail service in action, no surprise). The quality of the yarn holders was lacking due to different size base, warp when you spin the holder and even though some of wood was smooth, I would have added a clear sealer to the wood. Unfortunately, I ordered this item to give as a gift which I cannot do. Have ordered from another company who is more reputable with their products. Lesson learned.

This is my third yarn holder. I have a wooden one similar to this one and a plastic one. My previous two have worked well, though yarn gets under the spindle at times. I like this brand so much better, I have used it so far with at least 3 different yarns and not one has gotten under the spindle, the yarn pulls easily and smoothly making it so much nicer to crochet.
