This is the best air vent phone cradle I've ever tried. The others were instant throw-aways as they either didn't hold the phone tightly and securely, or else the holders fell right out of the vents too easily. This unit holds onto the vents tight. Be aware that the spring inside is very tight, so you can't insert or remove your phone with one hand (at least not right away - maybe after a while), but I can live with that.Unfortunately, the downside - and it's a big downside - is that even though I closed the vent I had this attached to, my phone still got really hot during my 20 minute drive. That's not the cradle's fault, that's my horrible car (something else to hate this car for, but that's another story). Sadly, I can't use this during the winter because of that. I still give it 5 stars because it works beautifully and would be perfect if my vent really closed up like it's supposed to. But if you feel any heat coming from a closed vent, this isn't the type of phone cradle for you. It's too bad - I really love how small and unobtrusive it is while being the most secure phone cradle I've ever tried.

This does a great job of keep my phone in place and out of the way. I really like the way it fits into the vent. It is even more sturdy than I thought it was going to be. My only complaint is that sides that hold the phone in place can be difficult to spread apart without using two hands. I understand why though because you don't want your phone to fall out. It does a great job and my phone has never slipped.

This holds my iPhone 6 securely but conceptually it's a lot of weight on the vent, it tips down while driving. I he prongs the go into the vent are narrow in one direction and wide in the other. I had to take off the rubber to get access to the screw that holds the metal prongs to the plastic body in order to rotate them 90 degrees. This made it more secure in my Explorer vents but the weight issue remains.

Perfect for cars that don't have a navigation system, you can mount your phone to the dash while driving and follow the map on your phone. It's amazing!

Loosens over time.

Although it fits my vents fine the spring that holds the cell phone is way too stiff making installing and removing difficult.
