Bobkona PDEX- Vanities, Brown

This is overall an extremely decent vanity for the price. I had a very hard time finding a makeup vanity that would ship to Hawaii, and also not cost more than the product itself (most were shipping from CA and the cost would be $300 for a ~$200 vanity. What!?). This was a winner in all my categories for price, style, and availability. It arrived two days later than the original scheduled delivery date, but the shipping speed was still faster than what I normally receive Prime items in (in HI, it's not 2 days, but "3-5").This item is solid wood, not cheap pressboard.Whilst assembling the legs of the actual table (not the stool), I discovered that one corner of the table did not have the screw holes completely drilled through in order for me to attach the leg. It was nothing my handy-dandy boyfriend couldn't fix with a drill, but it's something to keep in mind. There is also a dark discoloration above the handle on the drawer, which I have made less noticeable with a Magic Eraser. Obviously these are not things that are so outrageous when you consider the price. You get a mirror, the table, and a stool for $170. Brilliant!I am an adult and this suits me just fine, if anyone was wondering. This would make an appropriate teenager vanity too, but it's too large for a smaller child.

Overall, I am so happy I purchased this product. It's vintage look is adorable and it was so easy to assemble. My boyfriend used a power drill and the entire thing was together in less than ten minutes. The drawer is deep and holds a good amount of daily makeup (remover wipes, lotion, blush brushes, mascara, foundation, powder, eye shadow etc) and I even put an organizing tray in the drawer. There is a part where you do have to screw holes into the back part for the mirror- but with a cordless drill it's simple. In my opinion, I was happy with the quality of the look- to me it looks like smooth wood stained black, and there is some unevenness but it adds to the vintage look. The chair is very comfortable. Negatives: the drawer when pulled out feels as if it needs "oiling"- it's a little stiff at times. It's not hard to open the drawer but every once in awhile a small struggle. When walking by the vanity, the drawer handles rattled against the drawer and can get annoying when you are walking by getting dressed or sitting there but switching around doing hair. This could be my flooring or I walk heavy I'm not sure. One more thing, I'm 5'4" and sit comfortably at this vanity- I am able to see the top of my head in the mirror. However, anyone taller than me may wAnt to reconsider, as when I set up straight, I can no longer see the top of my head in the mirrow so it's a bit short for people over 5'4". These are little issues, and I am inlove with my vanity!

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. The material is sleek, no imperfections really. The upholstery on the stool comes tightly wrapped with a layer of plastic which I've chosen to leave on to help keep the fabric clean for as long as possible. The one issue I had with this vanity is the drawer - it comes preassembled (the drawer does) and not long after, it became very difficult to open and close it. Eventually the screws holding the slide mechanism came loose and fell to the floor. My boyfriend fixed it, I'm not sure what he did, I think he put new screws in tighter, and now it works just fine. I saw that a lot of reviews on this product pertained to the drawer and it's true, but I think you can adjust the screws pretty easily and then the drawer will slide fine. Someone else commented about the size of the vanity - I am a petite person (5', 118lbs) and I think the size of the vanity is perfect for me, and would be perfect still for someone a couple inches taller than me as well. But I can see it feeling a bit little-girlish to a taller woman.

This vanity is beyond beautiful and is definitely worth the price and I highly recommend this vanity for anyone no matter what age.But i do have to say that when I first received my product it was damaged (it seemed as it was dropped) and I was starting to regret purchasing it online. I was honestly thinking that the process to contact the seller and having a new replacement was going to take weeks and was going to give me a major headache! But i was completely wrong. They were quick to respond ( you do have to contact them during their office hours, and contact them through amazon) and show them proof of damage (i attached a picture to the email that i sent) which is pretty obvious. And in no longer than a week i had the product in front of my door! They were easy to contact and were really nice people with great service. I was glad that I made that purchase from Home Fashion Products.Another thing i would advise is to set a day to put together the vanity, I didn't do it personally; luckily I had my brother do it but it took him a while and he mentioned that the instruction weren't the best but he managed to put it together and like i said its beautiful!

I was looking for a white vanity for my wife to match the dresser and after checking overstock and a few other sites, this seemed to be the best deal. I did not want to compromise price for quality, and I also wanted side mirrors. When it arrived, it was securely packaged and the mirrors were in tact which was my main concern. I was happy with the quality. All it took was the Allen wrench provided with the set, a Phillips screwdriver and a little TLC. If you can, build the vanity on a carpet or something soft to prevent scratching. When it came to attaching the mirror, I used some wood glue to attach the mounting brackets on the mirror before mounting the mirror onto the vanity table. I also ordered the makeup organizer by Acrylic which fits on top and looks good. It is a simple design, and a good starter for the Missus. Someday we can get something with a classic wooden finish. For now we are still having some fun. Just an FYI my wife is 5'4", 27, and about 104 heft. I was concerned because many purchased for their younger daughters but worked out really well. It is very nice.P.S., I did not glue the mirror brackets to the table, just the brackets on the mirror, in case I need to re-mount the mirror to our liking. Best of luck!
