Not only is it great for the fire pit, It looks amazing in the fish tanks.

We purchased a gas firepit that came with the lava rocks which were of cheap quality and some turned black within a few uses. Searched Amazon and came across Skyflame 10-Pound Blended Fire Glass Diamonds for Fire Pit. Delivery was quick, packaging was excellent - each color came in it's own bag so they had to be mixed together. What an improvement over the lava rocks! These glass diamonds reflect the flame and really enhance the look of our fire pit! Highly recommend!

these really make your burner or fire pit stand out , very attractive

When I bought my fire pit, Amazon suggested some extras for the glass pebbles, however what arrived was simply pieces of a pane of fully tempered blue reflective coated glass which had been smashed, together with all of the glass shards and dust. On the other hand, the Skyflame 10-Pound Fire Glass Diamonds are the real deal, blue glass pebbles which are rounded and are a pretty good match for the ones that came with the fire pit.

These stones are much bigger than 1/2 inch as described.

I haven't used these in a fire pit, but they look nice. There were a few stones that had cracks in them and for anyone wondering, there were 331 individual pebbles in the bag I received.
