Easy and fun.
My first time starting with seeds this year and this kit is perfect. It contained all I needed and such easy instructions. Seeds are growing faster in these than in the cell pack. Well worth the price. I will definitely use it again next year with new pellets.

Not bad but the compacted soil had fungus
I've been gardening for 15+ years. I know how to plant and how to grow food. This product is affordable and easy to use.The plastic container is where the money is at. The compacted coco coir soil not so much though. I had cucumber seedlings grow in it and they got fungal disease. I had to use real soil and start over. I lost 2.5 weeks of planting time.If you get this, only use soil you know where it comes from

This worked great! I was late getting started with seeds this year and this product germinated them in no time! Very easy to use too.

Great if what you are trying to grow is mold
Not worth it, I tried several seedling methods this year to find the best, this one is no good. I followed the directions to a tee, I have the seedling heating mat, I have multiple grow lights set at the proper height with proper timers on them, I have ventilation, and with this product I have fuzzy mold balls. After 2 days the mold started, I had to remove all of the pods and plant them in open trays, some came around but about half were dead. Easiest method for starting seedlings: have your grow lights and heating mat (both are critical), then just get a container with some holes in the bottom for drainage (cut a soda bottle in half and poke holes in the bottom if you want it works), then fill with seed start dirt from any garden center, add your seed, water and poof they grow. No dome needed, no special pod of dirt needed, just dirt. light and water keep it simple

Great way to Germinate
These are great for several different kinds of seeds. I truelly felt like the little sprouts were safe and separate.

Super simple to set up
Super simple to set up. It's not nutritious for the seedlings, so will need to be transplanted soon. Also you can't decide how deep you want to plant. You just drop the seeds into the hold in the middle. But it's extremely simple to set up and to water. Just water the tray in one corner. I prefer the cowpots though, just because there is more control about how deep to plant, and the seeds can stay in those pots for much longer. Those are much harder than this to set up, however. It's a trade off. If you have your vegetable beds ready or will have them ready soon, use these!

Five Stars
I used these to start herb seeds and almost all of them sprouted within a week!

Do not overfill, or refill to often, with water.
Works well, better for hot peppers than standard peat. The disks are smaller for less chance of root rot. Water delivery system works well, takes the guesswork out of how much or when to add water. Several seeds sprouted in less than 10 days. I bought this specifically for hot pepper seeds, and it's worked out great.
