The best tasting all butter shortbreads
We first got a chance to get these from the gift shop inside Edinburgh Castle. To our disappointment, all the shops outside the castle only carried the Dean's shortbreads with the environment-killing palm oil, and nothing beats the flavor of an all butter shortbread. We bought as many different tins of all butter shortbread as we could find in the UK, and did a head to head taste test. This shortbread was our favorite, with the one marketed under the Victoria and Albert museum brand coming in second. The light, slightly crumbly texture and rich flavor stood out for the Dean's all butter shortbread. We were very happy to be able to mail order the tins. The only slight negative is that a few of the cookies were broken in the tin. Made for a good excuse to eat them while laying out the other cookies for guests!

Delicious but Broken
The shortbread is as delicious as I remember it from when I was in Scotland. This is the 2nd time I've ordered this item and both times all the cookies are in pieces. This doesn't effect the taste, but if you were wanting to put them out for a social event, you couldn't.

Excessively Fragile; Quite Sweet
So, the cookies are decent tasting. You will get shortbread. For me, it was too sweet, and there is something in the taste that I couldn't quite place that I don't care for. As can be seen in the pics, the cookies did arrive broken. If you are looking to use these for a party or an event, consider the possibility that yours may be thoroughly broken, too. The cookie is quite thick, yet soft. Also, for what I paid, I will not be ordering again.

Delicious but always arrives broken
I've ordered these a few times because they are absolutely delicious and my favorite shortbread brand, but after multiple tins of getting broken shortbread biscuits (including the replacement tins from Amazon after I first reported this issue), I have come to realize that whoever is shipping these does not put the right amount of padding in the box to keep them from breaking. That being said, the flavor is still great and maybe the lovely crumbly texture contributes to the likeliness of them breaking. Just wished they were handled with more care.

Yum
I first had these at a hotel I stayed at in Edinburgh, and they just tasted so good. I’m not usually a short bread fan, but these were delicious. Had to contact hotel to find out what brand they were so I could order some.

Delicious
Arrived broken (as expected, this is shortbread, wouldn’t expect it to survive shipping unbroken) but tasted delicious. Nice taste of home. Reminds me of driving through Huntly smelling the shortbread factory. Delicious.

Just crumbled pieces of shortbread
They are just crumbled pieces of shortbread. Not even one was whole.

Unbelievably delicious!
There are many so-called shortbread cookies out there. I really like these and will buy them again as soon as I can.
