Ghost Adventures: Season 2
T**Y
YES!!! Keep the adventures coming please!!!
I just ordered my copy, and I'm so glad that this Season is finally available for pre-order! Just in time for The Halloween Season, too, muhahahahahaha! My favorite time of the year indeed! I already pretty much wrote a novel on how I feel about this show in The Season One review pages, so this one will be short and sweet. ;)SSssooo... well... I just never get sick of this show. I could seriously watch the episodes over and over again--which I literally have many, many times, lol. I really, TRULY hope they continue to release more adventures, and the seasons, of course. Like how they do with all those other pointless reality shows that magically appear to turn out on DVD about every other week or so. GAG ME!! This show's a KEEPER!! And once again... I hope and pray for a long-lived "Ghost Adventures" adventure--more and more seasons to come! Let's keep these reviews ROCKIN' so that our point will be MADE!!!ETA: Excerpt from the review I wrote for Season One... Telling all the reasons why I love this show so much!I confess, I am completely addicted to this show. I'll watch the same episodes over and over again on The Travel Channel, I never get sick of them. I just ordered Season One, and it's on its way... and I also pre-ordered Season 2, of course. DUH!! LOL. Anyways this show is extremely entertaining. Not only do the investigators gather incredible evidence once dusk hits and it's time for "lock-down" ... but they are an absolute HOOT to watch once their adventure begins. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!Zak Bagans has definitely found his calling by doing what he does. This field has needed a NO BS, NO NONSENSE, tough, in-your-face type of investigator for a long, LONG time... so Zak's been a long time coming!! He's so funny to watch, because you can just tell he's like a little kid in a candy shop practically drooling when the owner or keeper gives him the tour and the run-down on the site, paranormal activity, experiences, stories, and the history behind each location, etc, etc;--which is just as fascinating in itself. He completely cracks me up because he ALWAYS tackles and taunts the 'evil' and most aggressive entities at the site, and basically tells them who's boss. He asks and demands that they try to pull the same stuff that they have pulled on other people. He's persistent, and extremely passionate about this, and it makes you wanna' back him up 100 percent! But the laughs will still be there, of course, LOL!Nick, the second investigator is the more 'smooth and suave' type... but he relentlessly follows Zak's orders and pretty much always gets the job done, which is what these guys are just trying to do. Get in, get the evidence they need, and get the H*LL outta' there--ALIVE!! Nick gets just as frightened and scared as the other two, though, no matter how hard he tries to hide it.Aaron, the camera-man is a total TRIP to watch beause he is definitely the most vulnerable and frightened of the group. The entities feed off of people's fear, and they loooove to mess with Aaron, hehehe. Zak and Nick undoubtedly know this because they usually use Aaron as "the bait"... making him do some of the scariest and craziest experiments during the lockdown. But Hey. Somebody's gotta' do the dirty work, right??? LOL!All in all this has got to be the best paranormal research show out there today, and I really hope these guys continue to do what they're doing for a very long, long time. And they are ARE professional in what they do. They're real people just like the rest of us, yanno. They become terrified, run for their lives, scream and yell, and they are not afraid to show it. I see nothing wrong with paranormal investigators having a little bit of personality... and these guys have a PLENTY of it, lol, which is quite refreshing. They're like 3 little kids going through a Haunted House on Halloween night, LULZ. Their reactions are genuine and yes, HI-larious at the same time. You can bet that if I was doing this stuff in front of millions of viewers on TV, I would give them a run for their money, too! The only one who really overreacts is Aaron--no surprise. Still--it's genuine overreactions. They show us just how REAL this field is... and their techniques work, because they get lots of activity and evidence recorded. I don't think I've ever seen a show where they haven't collected or experienced any activity. So whatever they're doing--it's working! Bottom line: They get the job done, and they've shined a whole new light on paranormal studies. They are cleary passionate in what they do, and it shows. You get caught up in the adventure right along with them!I call these guys "The Real-Life Ghostbusters" because once again, they really mean business, and let the entities know it, too (which of course, the entities do not like). They are a no BS, no nonsense group of investigators who get the job done and get it done right, IMO. It's also so funny to watch them get on eachother's nerves, too... yelling at eachother, telling eachother to shut-up, calm down, telling the other one to go do something because "they ain't doing it", etc, etc, etc. LMAO--these guys are totally like The 3 Stooges of this field. Completely genuine and completely entertaining together.Anyways. What else can I say besides--MOVE OVER "Ghost Hunters" (pppppffffffffffff)--there's a new sheriff in town! Zak and his crew!! They are here to kick GHOST-BUTT!!! And these bros "ain't scared of no ghost!" Well... like most of the time, dude, LMAO!!!

Great show, shame about Zak
Excellent show with some truly amazing evidence captured, but a massive shame about Zak Baggins, sorry Bagans. This guy absolutely adores himself & is painful to watch, his overtly macho posturing makes you think he's definitely trying to make up for something.... His voice over is hilariously wooden & be prepared to hear him talk about "countless" people who died in a location, despite having just been told the accurate figure which is usually 3 or 4. The other 2 guys are great, normal, down to earth & very watchable. If you can stop yourself throwing up while watching mr macho it's definitely a series worth seeing, just try to ignore mr Baggins & hope he shuffles bag to bag end sooner rather than later to work on his biceps again.

A Lowdown on the Lockdown: An in-depth look at what's in the Season 2 DVD set, and what's not.
Hello fans of the spooky and eerie! This 3-Disc DVD set of the second season of Ghost Adventures contains 7 out of the 8 episodes of season 2 (missing Eastern State Penitentiary) and 6 out of 10 episodes from season 3 [Based on my research on Wikipedia].[Note: In the Ghost Adventures Season 3 DVD set, disc one contains Eastern State Penitentiary and the 4 out of 10 remaining episodes of season 3. So all the episodes ARE available on DVD! Production numbers of episodes and the original release/air dates can sometimes differ and cause confusion with DVD releases of tellivision shows, I belive was the case with these sets from Travel Channel.]I have been watching this show since it premiered and I am one of its biggest fans. For me it started with the original documentary airing on the Syfy channel in 2006 (Available on DVD from Mill Creek). When I saw that the guys from the "Ghost Adventures" documentary were getting their own show, I was ecstatic!I'm pretty sure I've never missed one episode as it premiered, and this set containing episodes from 2009 to 2010 take me back to the days of "Lock Down Your Fridays" on the Travel Channel.Episodes included in this set are as follows:Preston Castle - Season 2Castillo de San Marcos - Season 2La Purisima Mission - Season 2Magnolia Plantation - Season 2Bird Cage Theater - Season 2Moon River Brewery - Season 2Ancient Ram Inn - Season 2Pennhurst State School and Hospital - Season 3Poveglia Island - Season 3Ohio Reformatory - Season 3Linda Vista Hospital - Season 3Clovis Wolfe Manor - Season 3Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum: Live Cut Down - Season 3Each episode has a running time of about 43 minutes.I give this set 4.5 out of 5 stars, I give the content 5+!My reason for taking off .5 of a star is for two of the episodes contained in this set: Poveglia Island and The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum: live cut down. You may guess what I am about to say, but; the Poveglia Island episode was a 2 hour special when it premiered and was later condensed to the 1 hour version contained in this set. The 2 hour version is much more in-depth and emersive, one of the GREATEST episodes of the series! The cut-down version doesn't do it justice.(Though I believe the full length version of the Poveglia Island investigation is available online). The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum investigation was brodcast live for 7 hours on Halloween eve (October 30, 2009) the 43 minute version contained here just seems a tad bit rushed... I have fond memories of many fun and creepy moments from the broadcast nowhere to be seen in this edit.I'm an amateur archivist, so I'm of the mindset of preserving the definitive version of whatever I may be looking at. These two episodes unfortunately are really not the definitive versions of the what they represent, though still entertaining and showing most of the great evidence captured by the Ghost Adventures Crew. The more content they can add the better, and I feel they should have added more here with these two episodes. That being said; this is a great set! I sat back and watched a disc a day for three days in a row, it's addictive and that last episode is always bitter-sweet, any fellow binge watcher knows the feeling. If you love the show, it doesn't get much better than this!! See amazing evidence, learn amazing history, and get creeped out and entertained like no other show on the paranormal.Happy Hauntings :)

The Best Ghost Show Ever. Period.
There are a lot of "ghost shows" out there, but only one gets it right: "Ghost Adventures." I know, I know, a lot of people will say, "Oh, come on, do you really believe in ghosts? They can show you whatever they want on TV!!" Well, true. However, I do believe in ghosts, and this show has the pitch perfect cast, and no matter what they show me on TV, this is much more entertaining that any stupid reality show of wannabe singers, wannabe dancers, wannabe swapped wives and the like. You may believe or not in the afterlife, but these guys will take you by hand and bring you in Chillsville for one hour a week. And it's a trip that it's worth to make. The Ghost Adventures Team is great, fun, the shows are very well constructed, they are never boring, and deliver what they promise. Who could ask for anything more?
