Puig7566N Fixing Support for REF.6486

First of all -the parts bag did not contain the correct hardware to install. The brackets use 2 ea 6mm bolts per bracket and the package only had a total of 2. However the bag contained 4 5mm bolts which only need 2. The bolts were easily had at the hardware store problem fixed. Secondly- I followed the install instructions which said to install spacers on all 4 bracket mounting bolts. The results with the spacers caused the motion of the slide portion of the bracket to bind and limit the adjustment of the windscreen. I removed the spacers and the mechanism work perfectly. Third- WIth the spacers removed the 6mm bolts are extra long, I went back to the hardware store and bought 6mmx20 Originally bought (6mmx35) this was not necessary but it looks much better. Very happy with the product, my Puig touring screen is rock solid.

The media could not be loaded.  If you have the larger windshield you need this support. This thing is rock steady even over 90mphFairly easy to install, tool about 30 min. Well made product

Much better than the Cyrac brace I have previously used.

It works that's about it, not that you can raise the screen or lower without pulling on the screen itself, it then mysteriously lowers after being parked- could be an error in how i installed it? but worth flagging

The media could not be loaded.  se anche le istruzioni di montaggio indicano chiaro che non è possibile installare con l archetto gps originale, ( nella fornitura ci sono delle rondelle, spessori, ovvero possibile installare anche senza l archetto) l archetto fa da spessore cosi non si usano quelli forniti. In cambio assolutamente da usare le viti fornite. L'unica pecca (almeno nel mio caso), ho fatto fatica ad avvitare le viti fornite alla base delle staffe perché il filetto delle staffe era di un altro passo, ed ho dovuto con la forza avvitare le viti fornite, cosi ho riffato il filetto al giusto passo. Niente di impossibile, tutto è andato bene ma non liscio come assembrare ikea :) . provato in marcia, non dondola più come prima, ed è anche possibile continuare a regolare l'altezza dalla manopola anche al alta velocità. non posso paragonare con altri sistemi perchè questo è l unico che ho provato

Ho acquistato queste staffe dopo aver letto la recensione di "calin Alin" che spiega come sia riuscito a installare il prodotto sulla sua moto nonostante la presenza dell'archetto per il navigatore. L'installazione è semplice (15min al massimo). Nel mio caso le staffe sono arrivate già assemblate, ma le istruzioni spiegano bene come smontarle e la sequenza delle boccole. Il risultato è molto buono! Alla massima altezza il parabrezza è molto stabile e non flette più all'indietro. Alla minima altezza, posizione in cui lo imposto sempre io, il parabrezza è fermo e anche muovendolo con due dita non si muove! Dopo aver ingrassato bene le boccole sono riuscito a manovrare la posizione del parabrezza anche in movimento agendo solo sul pomello standard, senza l'ausilio dell'altra mano. Dopo gli 80km/h l'aria oppone molta resistenza e anche se le staffe supportano bene, riposizionare il parabrezza sarà difficile.

Die Befestigung ist wirklich der Bringer - ich hatte an der vorherigen 1200 GS schon eine größere Scheibe von Touratech und auch dort im Laden erworben, die hat bei GS-Straßen schon mal ordentlich vibriert, aber niemand hatte mir damals eine Verstärkung empfohlen. Daher war ich überrascht, dass es so etwas gibt. Nun ist die Puig einen Tick höher und ich habe mal genauer darauf geachtet und es ist wirklich so, dass auch bei stärkeren Windwechseln wie z.B. Abwinden auf der Autobahn, die Scheibe ziemlich "wackelt". Also habe ich mir die Verstärkung besorgt - das Ergebnis war wirklich verblüffend. Die Scheibe steht wie ein Brett, egal bei welcher Geschwindigkeit und welchen Straßen, ohne jegliche Bewegung - echt Wahnsinn.Der Anbau ist total einfach, die Scheibe lässt sich anschließend ohne spürbare Veränderung in der Höhe verstellen. Lediglich beim Anbringen weiterer elektronischer Displays muss man das etwas berücksichtigen, aber das hat bei mir super geklappt - BMW Navi + Smartphone side-by-side an der Navi-Halterung.Wirklich perfekt - sehr empfehlenswert!
