I bought this film after buying another one which was a nightmare to install and ended up having to remove it. Check our the photos and you can make your judgement from there. Easy to install. Keeps heat out, great privacy during the day and some at night.

BackgroundI have a large picture window that gets a lot of sunlight from noon through sundown. This is great in the winter, but in the summer my livingroom feels like a sauna. Even with an AC, I barely feel relief from the heat.Day 1I applied this film to the center window. It took me almost 4 hours because the window is made up of 20 squares (10 1/2 x 10 1/2"). It is now 5:30pm and the sun is beating on my window. It is 91 degrees with 32% humidity. Typically, I would have the AC blasting and barely feel relief from the heat. Not today. This simple window film has made such a difference controlling the heat. I actually don't need to run the AC on high.So far, I am very pleased with this product.

I installed on a small window and then a larger window. You may need a second person to help. This is a good product. The window was looking hazy at first, but it is fine now. Instantly blocks that hot sun.

Was thinking about adding heat protection a long time ago, but was afraid to try to do it. Finally, decided and bought this film.Very simple and well thought instructions. Films sticks easily. No bubbles after squeezing excess of liquid and drying.Note, however, that I was afraid to follow instructions and cut film on window. Cut it beforehand, 1/4" smaller, leaving small uncovered space near windows borders.Note also, that 2 peoples are (almost) a must have for installation. Or you should be very handy! ;)Results are excellent! When outside T is close to freezing, you can feel clear difference in T of covered and non-covered (double glass!) window surface. Much less heating during the night. Hope to have cooler rooms during hot summer as well! :)

We have a large door window that faces west, and we live in the south. It would get hot really fast from just this window.We thought about curtains and blinds but those were expensive.Then we found this item. It was a game changer.It was a bit challenging to install, but it helps to have two people to put it up. One to hold it still and prevent from rolling back up while the other cuts and make sure it fits.After it was installed it blocked a lot of heat, and the privacy film was nice to prevent mosey neighbors looking in.

this product is easy to install, comes with good instructions, just put it on so don't know how easy it will be to remove.We put in on the sunny side of our upstairs bedroom, seems like it is a lot cooler now. Would recommend for an economical way to reduce the heat in the hot summer.

I may have been shipped a faulty or wrong product. My order is not reflective at all in the sun or shade. It is only dark and you can still clearly see everything inside the home. At first we thought we installed it backwards but we triple checked the instructions on the box and the packaging and it clearly says the exposed side after removing the clear film goes towards the window.*Update on replacement*We received our replacement and to be honest it wasn't much better than the first. Still see into the home on a sunny day. No reflection just black. But we did notice that inside the home at night we have a slight reflection, but not much. We do notice that it does block out like 70% of the sun light in the home. My wife doesn't really like it so dark but notices already into May 2020 that the hallway is cooler. I increased my star rating to 2 stars because it does block out at least 50% of the light l even though it says 25%. We will see how this really performs in the summer.

Es un plástico sin pegamento, unilateral (es decir, solo es de una vista), enrollado.2. Para colocarlo, RECOMIENDO, enrollarlo pero a la inversa para "aplanarlo" lo más posible y que sea más fácil.3. Ve videos de cómo instalarlo, pero en resumen sigue los siguientes pasos:A. Limpia perfectamente tus vidrios procurando no dejar polvo, marcos y áreas cercanas al vidrio y deja que se sequeB. Prepara una mezcla de agua jabonosa en un atomizador (yo utilicé detergente de trastes Sal-vo)B.1 Aprox... 100 ml de jabón + 900 de agua LIMPIAC. Desenrolla tu plástico, toma medidas de tu ventana, y recomiendo dejar un margen de 3 cm de cada lado.D. Ya con tu plástico recortado, preséntalo en tu vidrio, es decir, solo sobreponlo (recomiendo usar unos diurex o algo pegados al marco, NUNCA AL VIDRIO)F. Ya que estés seguro que las medidas se aproximan a las de tu ventana (dejando tu excedente que te recomendé, ten a la mano tu atomizador, tu cutter, el plástico guía que viene en el paquete y una servitoalla de cocina o trapo de microfibra para secar tus manos y el plástico del exceso de humedad, créeme, te hará falta.G. REVISA cuál es el lado que vas a pegar, desprende el plástico protector e inmediatamente después vierte tu agua jabonosa tanto en el vidrio como en la cara de tu plástico que vas a pegar al vidrio.H. Vierte todavía más agua jabonosa en ambos lados cuidando que no se pegue tu plástico entre sí :PI. El plástico aparenta estar bien recortado, por lo que te recomiendo utilizar los lados rectos cortados de fábrica y colocar ese lado muy justo de un borde que tú elijas (te recomiendo hacerlo al borde más complicado, por ejemplo, donde está la manija o donde están las agarraderas para abrir tu ventana)J. Trata de pegar tu plástico sin arrugarlo y sin dejar tanta burbuja usando sólo tus manosK. Con tu plástico guía, saca el agua y burbujas de aire siempre yendo de adentro hacia afuera aplicando un poco de presión. Evidentemente saldrá mucha agua jabonosa y puedes terminar empapado, seca tus manos y el plástico guía cuantas veces necesites.L. Corta el exceso del plástico presionando la guía hacia los bordes de tu vidrio y recargando tu cutter, retira el exceso de plástico ya cortado y vuelve a intentar sacar las burbujas de aire y agua.NOTAS:+En ocasiones no te será posible que se quede completamente pegado en las esquinas, para eso te recomiendo tener a la mano unas tijeras filosas y cortar esa pequeña esquina en forma de triángulo, eso facilitará que el resto del plástico permanezca bien adherido al vidrio.+Instala tu plástico antes o después de que le dé directamente el sol, es decir, cuando tu vidrio esté "tibio" o a temperatura ambiente+Sino cortas al margen tu plástico, se irá desprendiendo en los primeros 2 o 3 minutos después de que lo hayas puesto, te recomiendo estar al pendiente y mantenerte intentado pegarlo o revisar en dónde están tus excedentes+Te recomiendo ampliamente instalarlo primero en una ventana que no te importe mucho (una cocina por ejemplo) para que pruebes la complejidad y habilidades necesarias que requieres+Puede instalarlo 1 persona, sin embargo, entre 2 es mucho más fácil.

First of all this window film is the right tint. Not too dark a slightly grayish tint. It doesn't look obvious on the window. There is a wrong and right side to the film as I discovered but amazingly I was able to remove the film and reapply it with good results. It still allows for the light to come in but the brightness is toned down. Also the kit for measuring, cutting and smoothing out the bubbles is a nice addition. I found that I was able to get most of the bubbles out the first day and anything left behind I smoothed out the next day for " professional" results. I have removed a star because there is a slight haze to the window side of the film. I would recommend this kit if you want privacy and protection from the sun.

El efecto espejo sólo es visible cuando la ventana recibe directamente la luz solar intensa y solo si se le mira desde en frente. El plástico le quita nitidez a la visibilidad desde adentro porque es de tan mala calidad que se ve como un plástico borroso. Se despega después de dos o tres días y hay que volverlo a pegar. No lo recomiendo, se ve con un aspecto muy barato y no cumple la función de privacidad. Lástima que no lo podía devolver porque ya lo recorté, pero no malgasten su dinero en esta cosa...Actualizando:Terminé por quitarlo de mis ventanas. Odié por completo el aspecto corriente que le daba desde afuera. Un completo desperdicio de tiempo y dinero.

My office gets a lot of sunlight in the mornings and gets hot very quickly. I wanted some UV and heat protection to protect my equipment and retro game consoles from going yellow, so applied this film to the windows. When applying have patience and someone to help you as it can get frustrating if the film curls up and sticks to itself. Also make sure you use plenty of water in a spray and follow the instructions. Once it is on and the air bubbles are smoothed out it works really well and I noticed a big difference in heat. Also, it looks mirrored but when applied it just dims the light slightly.
