Will this fit my 1996 s10?

No, it will not fit the small s10 frame. It’s for FULL SIZE Silverado pick up. There are s10 kits out there on rough country website

The one I ordered and was delivered was for 2WD only :(

Do you need extended brake lines for the 4.5 inch lift kit?

I would think you would need longer brake lines, my kit was 3" inch and the brake lines were snug but fit.

Are Stock control arms able to be used?

Theoretically yes with a lift kit that utilizes spindles you are maintaining the proper geometry of the suspension components the only difference is with a spindle you are physically moving the mounting point of the Hub lower there for the truck sits higher I have not gotten around to installing this particular kit yet but I have lifted and lowered many vehicles using spindles with great success. Using a kit with spindles is also the best method because I recently lifted my Suburban a couple inches only using torsion bar keys which ultimately added more twist to the bar lifting the front of the truck but by doing that my upper control arms nearly rest on the factory Bump Stop and will require modification this method also brings the ball joints pretty close to there maximum travel at rest and could pose a problem without angled upper control arms in the future. When lifting or lowering a vehicle geometry is absolutely critical as it will have a big impact on handling and breaking performance. But I can say I was presently surprised unboxing this lift kit as the components appear to be a very nice quality
